Fun read for my first grader
My emerging reader enjoyed this book. It has plenty of pictures to keep his interest. At 60 plus pages, he found it challenging but not dreadful. Engaging story about a boy, Zack, and an alligator that was received as a gift from his uncle. Love that Zack is respectful and full of adventure. Good book to transition from easy reader to early chapter book.

Unique and entertaining
I bought this book for my boyfriend after he shared that it was one of his favorites from when he was younger. It's a great book, very entertaining! One of my favorite things about it is that it is about an alligator, which is a unique animal to feature in a children's book. Definitely gets the mind thinking and will encourage creativity and imagination in young readers.

A fun book for early readers
I initially bought this book for my daughter in the early 90โs and it quickly became one of her favorites so of course I had it nearly memorized back then. Now that she is a mother she was thrilled I could find it again for her son. I canโt wait to read it again with him

Memories
I used to read this book to my daughter when she was 3 years old. Every single night, she loved it so much. She asked recently if I had ever saved it, but I couldn't find it so I was thrilled to find it is still available for purchase. Was a Christmas present for her. She was so thrilled to receive it, almost in tears. Book came in excellent condition.

Great book
Perhaps I enjoyed this book more than my 6 year old. He didn't manage to become fully interested but I think wrong timing was responsible, because the story is lovely and fun.
