Pretty sure it works....
I've been using Restore for years in vehicles I've owned that have 60K+ miles. To be honest, I don't know if there's an objective way for the average car owner to know if the Restore is working (I guess you'd have to do a before-and-after compression check for each engine cylinder), but I feel confident that it is, since I feel like my engines have maintained their power and are not burning oil due to ring wear. I'll continue to use it, especially since the cost is not much more than a quart of synthetic oil so it remains a low cost preventative.

Not skeptical anymore! It works!
I’ve been adding this to my 05 Subaru Impreza with 150k now for about 3 years. Every oil change I add it. I swear it idles easier, a notch snappier, and throttle response has gotten better. It was using a quart of oil every 5k miles(in between oil changes) and since this product, I haven’t had to add any oil now. This stuff works. It’s proven. You won’t regret buying this. Project Farm on you tube turned me onto this after watching his non bias video about it. Glad I watched!

A great bandaid
I have been a mobile mechanic for 16 years added to 23 years of Engineering.Back in 2008 I got a call to look at forklift that was not running well. It was winter in Portland temperature was about 35. The Forklift running off propane idled rough and died when put in gear. The forklift was built in 1987, the Oil was black Spark plugs worn off gap. so decided to start with a compression test. Only 1 of 4 cylinders was in the green zone 90+. I went to an Auto parts store for oil and plugs. While there I asked the counter help what oil additive would help bad compression. He said that Restore had some pretty good feed back as all others, serious. I replaced Spark plugs as the oil drained. Then replaced the oil filter and drain plug, added new Synthetic Oil, and adding the Restore between quarts. I like to pour a bit of new oil after the Restore is in, back into the Restore Bottle and Shake vigorously then pour into Engine, repeating until all the purple is out of the bottle. THEN I top off the Dip Stick. ANYWAY the Fork lift started up and after idling for 15 minutes. I put it gear and whipped around the lot. Customer was impressed and paid good.

Works great!
I never believed in snake oils and other additives. This is not supposed to be compatible for engine with VANOS (variable valve timing) as the other reviews say. I even called the company to verify, I was advised not to use it on my Mini Cooper S R56, but I gave it a shot anyway. Holy smokes! I regained power, engine runs smoother, my car runs a whole lot quicker and faster. I can instantly feel the difference.I only added 1/3 of the 4 cylinder can. I’m surprised and impressed that it did what it claims to do with just that little amount I added. NO check engine lights so far, driven 300+ miles. My advice for Mini Cooper owners or other with VVT/VANOS engine is not to add the entire can.

Definitely recommend trying it!
My 248k mile mustang was hanging some lifter noise. That had first started occasionally, then frequently, followed by all the time and louder more obnoxious. Oil consumption has also started creeping up. I’ve never believed in additives but this was on project farm (the YouTube show) after all. Decided to do it after an oil change.0-100 miles no change100-200 miles lifter noise subdues200-300 miles noise gone for all but a few cases300-500 miles noise gone and oil consumption is gone, I don’t even check for that anymore.I was skeptical and now I can’t wait to see how it’s doing at the 1k, 2k, and 3k marks. For those wondering, I do the oil and filter changes every 4K miles on the dot and everything else before it’s due interval. I will definitely be adding this wonderful engine restore into one of my change intervals potentially even every oil change. Car and I are both very pleased!REMINDER: this product says it’s for non-VVT (variable valve timing) engines!Do I recommend this as a magical cure? No! like all car issues symptoms can come from a variety of reasons. Serious mechanical issues can not be repaired with a bottle. But as always one should start with a cheap option, such as this under $10 bottle as I was already looking at $1,000 worth of potential work. I am very pleased with it and only one I can think to recommend.UPDATE -Idk how many miles it’s been now but I used it at least 1 possibly 2 more oil changes later..the lifter noise was fixed. I had completely forgotten about that issue until I saw this review again today. I am a believer.

Long Time User; Highly Recommend
I’ve used Restore for decades as recommended by a well known automotive magazine that pointed out that they normally don’t recommend additives. But they did recommend Restore. Any vehicle that I have owned that had more than 75,000 miles on the engine, I added Restore at each oil change. One of my vehicles that I own now is a 2008 Toyota Sienna (bought it new) that has ~148,000 miles. Restore goes in at each oil change, and I have never experienced any engine trouble. It still runs like it did 13 years ago. I just wish that Restore had a formula for transmissions (had to replace it in 2017.)

Works as advertised but does not last!
I used this in a 2008 Toyota Prius pushing 250,000 miles that uses oil but has decent compression. I have had good short term results with this product, however the effects do not last. The compression issues comes back, and oil consumption creeps up. By about 2,000 miles after oil change effects are mostly gone. Adding more at this point before next oil change seems to have minimal effect. Unless you change your oil extremely frequently you will find that the benefits of this product fade out long before your next oil change. I also have noticed that my oil gets darker/dirtier faster when I use this product. I have stopped using it and switched to Lucas Oil stabilizer to reduce my oil consumption issue. The benefit of the oil stabilizer on oil consumption last longer and my oil does not get dirty as fast. I have concerns about the long terms effects on oil passages, oil flow/pressure, and the cylinder head using this product. I think if you have a vehicle with very bad compression, and simply need to buy some time to replace, this product is good. If you really don't have serious engine wear and plan on keeping your vehicle a long time I would suggest not using this product. Lets face it, a "motor job in a bottle" is not an engine rebuild. It is like rust repair, it is just extending the operational life awhile longer. Be realistic about what you are buying. This is a quick fix, not a long term solution!!!
