Now I can make two cups at once, on those occasions when the wife suddenly wants one too, while I'm making one for myself!Used to Aeropress for years now, I decided I had to give pour-over a try, and I love it! Slightly more tedious to brew a cup but the result is well worth it. I find it a far more satisfying cup later in the day, although I do still like the old Aeropress for the first cup when I wake up.Not cheap for this set, but I think it still represents good value for money, and better than buying the individual components separately.

After selling my espresso machine, this was a life saver whilst waiting for the replacement.The quality is great and it makes great coffee too.

After buying a Hario syphon, and experimenting with some random V60 copycats (I'm looking at you Melitta), I decided to jump in and try the original V60 by their creators.The flask is very well done, made of great and clean glass, as expected from Hario. The inclusion of a carafe cap is a nice touch. The paper filters are also very clean, and they don't add any smells to the brewing process. The spoon is convenient, but since I weight my coffee to the gram, I didn't have much use for it.The quality of the actual V60 filter holder is great, made of heavy heat resistant plastic, well molded and all, but looking at the pictures you might be led to thinking that it is also made of glass. Now, it makes sense it is made of plastic, since glass absorbs (and radiates) heat pretty well, so it would be a little difficult to handle it without getting burned.Compared to the other V60 copycats, brewing is fast enough to produce a coffee cup in less time than the others. It might not be the force push of an Aeropress, but it is considerable time less than the Melitta copycat.Though the taste is pretty similar, the aroma is a little different, with an unusual sweetness rather than acridness. That might be related to the paper filters included in the kit.My recommendation for prospective buyers would be to also buy a goose neck teapot, to aid with the pour over process, since it is more precise that just a regular spout.Finally, congratulations Amazon for the dedication and carefulness on shipping this delicate object over my country. It was incredibly well packed, with good padding all over.
