Joseph Joseph Multi-Grip Kitchen Mandoline, Adjustable Fruit and Vegetable Slicer, 3-Slice thickness, with precision food grip, Green, 16

This is exactly what I was looking for. Razor Sharp, adjustable, easy to clean and store away. I’ve used this successfully for all sorts of vegetables & fruits, even fine slicing garlic cloves (with the aid if a cocktail stick!) The blade guard is great, secure and easily clicks into place when putting away. I have electric slicers and choppers but this is my go to tool for quickly slicing, say an onion. Slice, wash, put away in 2 mins flat.

I was hesitant to spend the money but am so delighted with this. An excellent mandolin, great quality, sturdy and easy to use. I recommend you use the well designed finger guard for more fiddly jobs or when you get towards the end of your slicing job. It also covers the blade when not in use. There are 3 thicknesses. I use it mostly for root ginger, but it makes slicing any fruit or veg good fun! Easy to wash up.

The mandoline is built very well as you would expect with Joseph Joseph and the blades are super sharp. Very easy to swap between thicknesses. Only slight design issue is it feels a bit awkward when you use the hand guard and reach the end of the vegetable, it doesn't quite sit well against the board for the last slice or two. Overall, very happy

Never had a bad product from Joseph Joseph, albeit they are usually expensive for what they are. In this case, the price is good for what you get. It's good quality and very sharp with a good grip making it safe and easy to use. Cleaning wise, it's not spectacular as with all mandolins because it's very hard to safely get under the blade to clean. The green colour is not my favourite though, it looks pretty old fashioned. I would have preferred a black, white or silver one.

Good addition to the kitchen. It’s compact and I like the way you can lock the blade when in storage so there’s no nasty surprises. It’s stayed sharp and meant that I can power through slicing when the recipe calls for it.

This is a great gadget to save time and to perfectly slice a variety of fruits and veggies. It's good quality, like most Joseph Joseph products. It is a 'mini' version of the bigger product they sell but I've found it works really well for limes, lemons and larger oranges, carrots, etc. Large veg would also work but it would have to be cut down to size first. It doesn't have a stand, so you have to hold it at an agle to use. If you try to use it flat, the slices build up underneath and get in the way, so it does have the potential to slip a little. I would highly recommend getting a safety glove to use with this. Although it comes with a plastic gripper to hold the vegetable/fruit to keep fingers away from the blade, once you get towards the end of the carrot or whatever, the holding device gets in the way and it is tempting to remove it and just hold the vegetable with your fingers. Please don't do this. It's mega sharp and you could easily lose a finger. And I mean, really easily. *Update August 2025* I've had a few months to get to used to using the mandoline and overall, I'm disappointed. The blade has lost it's sharpness and I've disovered that the blade cannot be removed, meaning the cutting action is impaired and it takes a lot of effort to get it to cut slices without getting stuck. Overall, I'd say spend more on a gadget that is more durable and has a removable blade.

This is a great size for cutting up a small quantities. I have a larger mandolin that is much bigger and great for slicing large quantities and larger vegetables, but for a small salad this one is excellent. The best bit is the mechanism for holding small items so you don't lose the tops of your fingers. It is easy to use and I can hold small items such as radishes right to the end, and it fits neatly back onto the mandolin to store.

Really good for slicing. I’ve been using to thinly slice onions and cucumbers for pickling and it’s super fast. I like the gripping tool so can protect your fingers. 3 thickness settings and lock - it’s made my life easier!
