This book is amazing! Amy Atlas' Sweet Designs: Bake It, Craft It, Style It is full of an endless supply of new party planning ideas. Amy Atlas provides so many sweet tips, how to guidelines, delicious recipes, and just about a picture on every page! Her techniques are flawless and she makes everything so practical and easy! Amy Atlas leaves no detail behind and makes sure every last little bit of scrap craft paper never goes to waste (i.e. using leftover scrap fabric or craft paper for cellophane favor bags). I am in love with every word and cannot wait to put all of the ideas to work on my upcoming parties! This is definitely going to be my party planning go to book for many years to come! Thank you Amy Atlas for such a wonderful dessert piece of art!

This book is more of an instructional party book versus a cookbook. It has some recipes and instructional craft input, but has more craft ideas on party themes and her preference regarding where to purchase the items and internet websites connections. Overall, it is a very helpful and informative party planning book with a large amount of ideas. I would recommend it to anyone who is planning to host a nice party with a specific theme or color scheme.

As an admiring and long time follower of Amy Atlas' work, her first book "Sweet Designs: Bake It, Style It, Craft It" was all that I imaged it to be and more. The book features displays of never before seen sweet tables with detailed deconstructions of how to bake her treats, display them, and create your own crafts according to theme. The book is organized into dessert themed chapters which makes it easy and fun to read through! With all of her tips, craft patters, and extensive resource index you don't need to look much further to create a one-of a-kind masterpiece! For anyone who loves to entertain and host unique and delicious parties this book is for you! It's also inspirational to anyone wishing to follow in Amy Atlas's footsteps in becoming an event planner/sweet stylist and it has certainly helped me figure out how to execute and pursue my passion for event planning and sweet table design.

I discovered Amy a few years ago, and i instantly loved her work. Cooking for me it s about love, and do it with such care shows exactly that! So i got super excited when i found out about the book. i received my copy last friday in Argentina and i couldn't stop admiring it. It's beautiful, handy and complete. Full with recipes, great ideas, gorgeous images. My baby it's having his first birthday in a few days and i can't decide wich thing not to do!!!!! everything is great. I think everyone should get a copy just because it's really lovely and inspirational and the ideas will help you in every celebration you'll have to make it even happier!! I've been eager to buy this book ever since she announced on her blog that she was writing one! It certainly lives up to all that Amy promised it would be. Every dessert table in this book is broken down in terms of baked goods (including recipes), design elements, craft instructions and tips for changing it to make it work for your event, budget, etc. She also includes lists of tools and products that she uses, provides templates for craft items, and gives contact info for all the resources she uses to buy the items for her tables. The photographs are beautiful and the book is substantial. What you get for the price of this book is definitely worth it! I'm actually very surprised it isn't more expensive! Amy is obviously very thorough in the planning and execution of her dessert tables, and that has translated beautifully into this book! I HIGHLY recommend it!

I was anxiously awaiting my copy of Amy's book and to say it did not disappoint! I took it to bed with me that very night and poured over each and every page. This book is the real deal. Chock full of gorgeous photos, NEW ideas and great tips and tricks that I can actually use. In the age of Pinterest, and 5 million party blogs it's hard to come by things I have not seen before but Amy managed to come up with many. The book now sits proudly on the coffee table in my shop where we plan theme parties for children. A lot of details were not included. eg: the detailed description of setting up and fixing of the backdrops yet again there were few tips which were useful.

Ein schönes Buch mit vielen Ideen um keative Dinge zu verschiedenen Anlässen umzusetzen. Von Torten über Cupcakes und Basteln ist alles dabei. Wer etwas besonderes machen möchte ist hier richtig.

El libro es genial, aunque muy americano. Al no estar traducido, sólo indica direcciones no españolas. Tampoco está adaptado a nuestras costumbres y algunas ideas son bastante irrealizables. Haría falta traducirlo y adaptarlo. Pero, aún así, da ideas muy buenas para organizar fiestas de todo tipo.

Ottimo libro ricco di idee e spunti, è in inglese ma un piccolo dizionario puo bastare. Le foto sono molte w molto eloquenti.
