Having recently broken my arm, I was so happy to find an umbrella that both opened and closed with the simple push of a button! Everything about this umbrella is top quality and attractive to boot! Great work Asher and Lyric! Do a happy dance for me! (But could you make that a rain dance so I can use this umbrella in drought-ridden NC?)

Very sturdy and well made. As a result it is fairly heavy. Good for windy, rainy weather but adds a noticeable weight to your bag.

Overall, I really like this umbrella. It seems quite sturdy and the extra carrying case is handy as it can be clipped onto backpacks, for example. However, it was bigger than I expected for being a "travel" umbrella. When I got it, it was slightly larger and slightly heavier than my current small umbrella (which I was hoping to find something smaller for travel) but it does have better coverage. I was surprised it isn't vented since it says it's windproof and the venting usually helps with wind; I didn't have any issues with wind, though, so IDK how easy it is to handle/manage if it does kick up significantly. Overall, a decent purchase and it got me through some rainy days on my trip.

This is a fantastic umbrella for travel. Is compact but pops out easily into a larger umbrella. I had ordered it when I couldn't find my other travel umbrella, and by the time I received I found mine and processed a return for this one before I opened it. However I did end up retaining it and am glad I did. Highly recommend!

Functional. Using for an upcoming trip

To be fair I did not actually use this umbrella so not sure how wind resistent it is. When I bought it, I was looking for a portable umbrella to put in my backpack for hiking trips. This umbrella is pretty long (when fully closed) and heavy. If you are looking for one to keep in your car, I bet this would be great but did not fit my need.

This is a great functioning umbrella, I'm very pleased with my purchase and will be using this wherever I can. It has a well built semi-hard case to carry the umbrella in which makes it easy to store and travel with. It's lightweight and the umbrella covers a broad area - opening and closing it is very easy, one button to open it and it has no prongs to push in to collapse the umbrella. Thanks for the great product. Update to my review: I noticed some other reviewers complaining about the weight of this umbrella so I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. The Hero umbrella weighs less than 1 pound, but has a very healthy coverage so that you won't get wet. Whereas other travel umbrellas I've used might be 1 or 2 oz lighter in weight, they are WAY smaller in coverage so I got wet while using them. Also, the other ones usually use cheap (less sturdy) materials that will more easily break in the wind. TL;DR: If you want a travel umbrella that actually keeps you dry and won't break in the wind then this is the one to get.

I purchased the Hero Travel Umbrella for several trips that I had planned this summer. I was looking for something sturdy and long lasting and I liked the fact that this umbrella came with a hard shell case to prevent damage when packed during travel. The umbrella is bigger and heavier than I realized so just make sure you are aware of the size and weight before purchase. I'm primarily writing this review to draw attention to the outstanding customer service that this company offers. They stand behind their products 100%. They are quick to respond to queries and offer solutions that are reasonable. In my case, the umbrella that I purchased was defective. Two spokes broke after only 3 uses following the proper directions for opening and closing the umbrella. Disappointed for having spent CAD$60 on an umbrella I planned to review the product. As Hero's online product reviews are stellar I chose to contact the company rather than write a scathing review as I recognize that sometimes in manufacturing defective items can make their way to the consumer. Brooke at Hero customer service acknowledged that sometimes items can leave the warehouse even after rigorous testing and apologized that I happened to receive one of them. I was then offered the choice to receive a brand new umbrella or receive a refund. I was not expecting that at all. I find that one has to ask for refunds but this was offered without proof via pictures. I was immediately impressed; this indicates to me that Hero stands behind the products they sell. That they were willing to refund or send a new one without even asking for the broken one back was equally impressive. They trusted I was telling the truth and they know their products are good. Well done Hero Travel Supply! I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from you again.
