PreLoad Hydration Mix for Women 20-Serv

I've been using this for a couple workouts now and wanted to share some thoughts based on reading some of the other reviews. Yes, the taste isn't great, but I've been trying different hydration options for years trying to find the right on and most of them don't taste great or leave my stomach in a knot. So far, I'm very happy with the Osmo products I've tried (this preload and the honey and spice recovery, which is way better than it sounded to me initially)! And the taste factor for me is much more important in what I'm drinking during & after exercise anyway when my body seems to be much more picky and what it wants to get down. One thing I've found helpful is not taking in as much of the preload as recommended for my weight; unless you're 100 pounds the recommended amount is a lot of fluid right before training! I'd rather take in a little less and not risk being sloshy! I also haven't really noticed a difference when I take it the night before and when I don't. I'll probably do that the night before a race, but not the night before every hard training session. If you've been considering trying this, but are afraid of the bad reviews about the taste, I'd at least give it a shot! I'd much rather be well hydrated while training in 90-degree heat in the south than worry about the less than delicious taste of my pre-workout drink!

I wanted to love this product because Dr. Stacy Sims knows her stuff and there is a lot of science that went into the formulation. I bought it because I needed a hydration mix for longer runs (marathon training) and this researched well for endurance sports. It did work for me (I felt hydrated for longer) when I used it according to the instructions but it requires so much powder and the taste for me was very hard to get down in the quantity that is recommended. I am used to using Nuun Active that is mild and very drinkable and this felt like drinking concentrated salt water. The pineapple margarita flavor made me a bit queasy and "sloshy" so ultimately I stopped using it. Fun fact - as soon as I went back to Nuun, they released a new formula that Sims collaborated with them on for a long distance endurance drink (the Performance series) and my issue was solved. This isn't a bad drink, it does what it states but it is just not a flavor I enjoy or drinkable enough for me.

This product is amazing. I use it before long, intense efforts in the heat. It is good especially if you are a heavy/salty sweater. I think it gives you that extra boost in electrolytes, not needing to pop salt pills during a race (hence saving some time!). You are supposed to drink a serving the night before and morning of your race. It does have a salty taste to it, but the benefits are great! Drinking the Preload, along with the Active Osmo for during your race, has helped me to race some of my best Triathlon’s and Cycling races! —Roseann

This product tastes NASTY but it really, REALLY WORKS! It has made a huge difference in my workout. I am using all 3 products and really see the difference in my performance. However the taste us terrible, I take it like I would any medicine only because I know how well it works and how great I feel during my workout.

Awesome product. Yes it is salty, but mix with cold water and you don't notice it. I noticed a BIG difference the first time I used it. Ran 4 miles in the heat humidity of FL and had no cramps, dehydration headaches. I felt great when i was done. Osmo is an awesome product and you can't beat their customer service. Well worth the money and it can get pricey. Do the subscription once you know how much you are going to use.

I did not enjoy this product and it made me very bloated.

The amount of servings I would get from this container is ridiculous! One serving is based on a person who is 90-109 pounds. So, I wouldn't even get 10 servings out of this container. To be paying $2.50+ per serving for a product I purchased in bulk is ridiculous when I can purchase equally good alternative for far less. Will not purchase again!

I love it, works great before I go on a long ride on my bicycle. We ride 30 to 50 miles with our group and being post menopausal hydration is a challenge. This product is perfect!

Love this product. I am training for a marathon and I add this to my water the night before. I find it helps with fatigue and tired legs. The only down side is it doesn't taste the greatest.
