Well made! stylish! Very tight and Clean! You're definitely getting what you pay for.
Pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance, simply elegant! As to be expected the shipping carton was slightly scuffed up however, Superbly packaged to the highest degree. It was cushion wrapped like a present then again wrapped with another soft padding and placed in fabric sleeve / bag. Then anchored within a custom made foam block matching the shipping box. The best of all was seeing a thin wood panel slipped in along the side of the shipping carton. Truely a symbol of grandeur, excellence and brilliance. The wood finish is like a finely crafted Steinway grand piano. No doubt this watch winder is going to last for many years.

well built for cost
Impressed with quality and ease of use. Works quietly and allows many options such as no lights if in bedroom, adjustment of revolutions per day, and rotation. Also very quiet.

Very disappointed
I got one of these for my birthday and was extremely excited to have a nice display for my ever- growing watch collection.Packaging:The item was nicely and securely packaged. Amazon and crew didn't damage the box and there was no noticeable gouges or major dings in the box. All very normal wear and tear on the packaging. The winder:The case is very nice. The piano finish is a very good looking and the execution for the display case is overall very upscale and pretty. The lights are nice and the cushions and individual watch holders are well thought out.The individual winding sockets:This is where it all started to go pear shaped. I got everything un-boxed and set up. I took out the anti-moisture packets and plugged in the display case. The case is turned on with a button on the back *click* & all 8 little cushions start to quietly spin... then 7... then 6.I turned the device off with the switch in the back *click*, pulled out the watch holders that weren't spinning to make certain I had re-installed them correctly then turned the device back on *click.* now only 4 were spinning.I turned it off *click*, unplugged it, let it sit for 10 minutes, plugged it back in, turned it back on *click*... 4 working.I saw other reviews from people saying that they had individual sockets not working... but half. Dang, back to Amazon you go. You were a very nice looking, appeared to be well made, half working watch case.I'm assuming I got a bad unit (which happens I guess) but it doesn't make me any less disappointed.

Pretty good winder!
I have postponed getting a winder for awhile, but after taking all my best automatics in for servicing I asked (as usual) about the service interval and my watchmaker said "eh, about 5 years, maybe 7 or 8 if you wear them regularly", and that made me ask why. He said that the lubricants to degrade over time and that will happen whether I wear them or not, but even if you wear a watch for just a week or so every couple months (he said), the parts don't rest and push away the thickening lubricants from the wear surfaces as much, and a watch that's running on a regular basis tends to have an easier time staying running. So I figured that I'd spend a fraction of my regular service cost and get this winder for my most cherished examples. I've had it for about a month. As others have noted, it's quiet. Super quiet. The settings for various rotor types cover just about everything. The piano black case pretty much disappears on a dark shelf and It's not so deep that you can't put something in front of it to conceal it when I'm travelling away from home. The illumination of the case is fine, and the holders for the watches accommodate my straps at the normal wearing adjustment without issue. They're springy to adjust, but not overly so to the point where they might stretch or deform a strap over time. The holders snap in and out of the rotating cups without much effort -- you can one-hand the pulling motion without pulling the winder case off the shelf. They pop back in positively. I have it set to run rotations while I'm at work, so the motors are never running when I'm at home. I have seen them running on the weekends, though. It gets four stars because one cup, on the upper right, was not screwed into the motor behind it and I could not figure out (for days) why the cup kept popping off the motor -- until, that is, I removed the cup and noticed the small screw that makes the attachment to the motor (holding the cup firmly to it). There's a fuzzy textured piece of cardboard that covers the head of the screw at the bottom of the cup, but it's easy to pop out, and you can re-seat the cup, tighten the screw to the motor and replace the little textured cardboard without much trouble. All the other cups are fine, so it probably just got missed at time of manufacture.I haven't tried or bothered locking it with the included key, so I'll leave that for others to comment on. My watches are ticking along quite nicely. So I have enough autos to easily fill two of these, and I would probably buy this unit a second time, but the other watches are not quite valuable enough to justify one at this time. Altogether a pretty good winder with a fairly simple and easy to remedy manufacturing oversight. Worth the money. Hope it lasts.
