Let's Make Ramen!: A Comic Book Cookbook : Hugh Amano, Sarah Becan: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: A beautiful book - This cookbook is a bit of fun for anyone that loves a comic book. A gift for my brother who love Japan and its cuisine, the book has great illustrations for each recipe. Review: A beautiful looking cookbook and so much more practical than standard cookbooks - I was so upset when I couldn’t get hold of this as it went out of stock a couple of weeks ago. So, as soon as it was back in stock, I didn’t hesitate to buy it! My eldest teenage son discovered Raman this year and has been constantly making it ever since! As he’s looking at getting ready to move out, I wanted to get him a cookbook as such, but not your standard one that he would never pick up and use. He's a former anime and graphic novel fan, so I just knew that this would be a perfect present for him. The book is of such high-quality and each page is just gorgeously illustrated and captioned. Best of all, the presentation more than encourages you to have a go yourself. I can’t rate this highly enough – if only all cookbooks could be as fun and as accessible as this!

Nice book but..
This is a lovely cookbook and the illustrations are nice with lots of information. The only issue I found was following a recipe got a bit complicated but then gain its all about adding what you like.

Something a little different for a cookbook
I saw the physical book of this in a shop but got the Kindle version on sale. It's a bit different to have a cookbook in the style of a comic book. The drawing style isn't too complex (not anime) but the food still looks good and the actual content is serious enough. Don't think because it's a comic that it's not proper recipes or discussion about ramen. This weekend I followed the recipe for making proper tonkotsu broth in a pressure cooker. Proper tonkotsu involves boiling various unattractive piggy bits for 10hrs+ but the pressure cooker scales it down and brings the time down too. The resultant broth was meaty and creamy and tasted pretty authentic to me (an enthusiastic home cook/J-foodie but no professional). I enjoyed reading it like a comic book and will be returning to it like a cookbook. I also bought the authors' similar comic book on Dumplings.

Awesome book. Very informative.
Offers up much needed knowledge and breakdowns on the different types of ramen. If you are in the UK, Matsudai goes hand in hand. Illustrations are awesome.

Great comic cookbook
Bought this book for my partner as he’s a chef, he loved the style of the book as a comic as he’s not saw anything like this before. Loved the book and would recommend to anyone to buy it.

This is easily the most beautiful and tasty recipe book we own. One year ago I gave it to my boyfriend for Xmas and we are still using it to this day :) we actually had Xmas ramen.

Lo compré como un regalo para un fan del ramen y le encantó! Las ilustraciones son hermosas y el libro es súper completo, con no sólo la historia del ramen sino también los ingredientes e utensilios que necesitas
