Connects up well with Home Assistant
Got this working in just under a minute with Home Assistant and Z2MQTT. Overall it puts out very nice light. The reds are slightly stronger than the blue and green, at least to my perception. This will make great accent lighting and the FCOB helps with dispersion and point definition. You will still see the pixels when looked at directly but will wash nicely in a reflective use. Bear in mind this is all a single color at a time and not addressable, so it won’t do rainbow affects or multiple colors simultaneously.

Very poor quality alternative to the Philips Hue light strip
This is WAY overpriced for what you get. You might be happy with this if you are just interested in saturated colors. This can do that, but if you are trying to match any other lighting, or mix specific colors, or anything resembling white, whether warm or cool, look elsewhere. Yes it can be used with the Philips system, but not very well. This is a VERY inferior product and not so much cheaper that it is worth the savings: 1. The adhesive backing is a joke. It adheres to the blue covering, not to the back of the light strip. 2. Maybe because the light strip material is tacky and feels like it wasn't properly mixed in the manufacturing process. Dust sticks to it. 3. The colors are very rough.. Trying to get the same color as the other lights in your system is impossible. The Hue system allows you to gang lights together in the app in order for them to produce the same colors, and this doesn't work with this light strip. The colors are way off, and trying to match them is an exercise in futility. Even the extension doesn't match the original strip it's plugged into. Very disappointed. I'm ordering the Philips version. I'll try to find another use for this strip. Update: I've installed this in another room without any other color lights, and am able to get a preset that isn't too offensive for general use. The other lights in the room are all quartz halogen, which has a very even tone and pleasing warmth as it dims. Trying to match these to that warmth produces at best an ugly greenish red instead of yellow, and it only works as more of an exaggerated orange or red complement when set at a relatively low level.

Good lighting. Perfect compatibility with Hue system.
I decided to install this for counter-top lighting in my kitchen. The strip was the perfect length to run the length of my cabinets, take a short turn and end before going over the stove. The lighting works really well, is decently bright, and integrated immediately with my Hue system. I now control it with other smart lights. I don't use the color changing too much, but I did find that it emits some UV when set to a deep purple color; this turned out to be really useful for highlighting some staining when I was cleaning. The supplied adhesive completely failed the moment I put hot food under it. It replaced it with an industrial contact cement that works perfectly. I think the adhesive would be fine it 1) It was holding the strip DOWN instead of UP, and 2) was not exposed to steam or elevated heat.

Nice when they work
The led strips are nice but unfortunately one of the two that were delivered does not work properly, the colors seem to invert based on the color provided. Don’t see any way to reach out to the seller besides leaving a review

You Get What You Pay For
I've had this strip for a few months now, and my feelings are mixed. Long story short: if you're heavily invested in the first-party Hue ecosystem, or if you plan to use this in a room with other Hue products, this may not be the product for you. I have moved these strips to an area with no other Hue products, and I'm very pleased with it for the price. I would never have paid $80 to add smart lighting to this area of my home - but I am happy having paid about half that for locally-controlled smart lights at this performance level in this new area. ---- First up - overall build quality. These LED strips have some kind of epoxy or resin over the LEDs. On cheaper LED strips, that epoxy can yellow quickly. I am pleased to say that has NOT happened to me, even with the strips installed in a high-heat, high-humidity environment. Unfortunately, the adhesive is a different story: that failed quickly. While I will concede that the surface I was adhering to is less than ideal, it failed quickly - within the first month or so. I was able to resolve the issue by purchasing some aluminum LED channels and mounting the strips to it. ---- ---- Next - pairing and performance. For me, pairing was a breeze! I have both a Hue hub and a Home Assistant hub. I had no issues pairing it to either hub. But I wasn't thrilled with the performance of the strip connected to the hue hub. - Color-matching a first-party Hue product to this strip will be very difficult/impossible. - Color and on/off fading doesn't quite match with this strip. - Occasionally, the strip would turn back on after turning it off via the Hue app. I originally had this in a room with other Hue products, and I decided to move the product to a different area of my home, away from other Hue lighting products, where this wouldn't be noticeable. This has improved the perceived user experience. ---- I don't think that first-party hue products are a great value, so I'm not going to say that you should go and buy the Hue strip - the Hue indoor "Lightstrip Plus" is hardly a superior product to this on paper. However, if you want to use the entertainment area feature, or if you want a LED strip to use in combination with other first party hue products in close proximity, look to the Hue product catalog.

Not a great zigbee controller. Lights work fine.
These lights are pretty much as described. I connected them to my Hue bridge, which was straightforward. While they do work *most* of the time, they occasionally don't change brightness or color on command. This usually requires going into the Hue app and manually changing the light settings to force them to update. I don't have this problem with any of my other hue/zigbee lights, including sengled 3rd party ones.
