Pop! Disney: The Nightmare Before Christmas - Jack Skellington

I am a HUGE fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas and especially of Jack Skellington. I have every pop figure they make in relation to that movie. When I saw this, I had to have it. The figure/cover come in a nice, very thick, acrylic case. It will definitely protect the figure and keep dust out when you mount it on the wall. The case is about 3.5 inches deep so it's going to stick out from the wall so make sure you hang it where it is out of the way. I really like this piece. It looks great on the wall and is a nice addition to my Nightmare pop collection.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up so this was a cool addition to my Funko collection. Most of my Funko's stay in their boxes but this is one that actually looks amazing out of the box as well. All preference of course.

Perfect pop for the Halloween season. I have started collecting these pops more recently and this was the ultimate addition to my collection especially around Halloween. If you’re a diehard nightmare before Christmas fan like me, this is the ultimate addition to your pop collection. Even if you’re not a pop fan, this can be used as a season decoration if you like the movie. I did find the figure itself to be a tiny tiny bit difficult to stand up if whatever it’s sitting in is bumped a little but other than that it shouldn’t be a problem. 5/5.

Released just in time for Halloween. (Amazon had the release marked for mid November, but it was mailed to my house on October 28th.) (I know, this review is marked on November 4th, but that is not the point.) While I don’t consider myself a moderate FUNKO Pop collector, or even a hardcore collector, I do admit I have enough at this point where I’m a collector of the trade, even if modest compared to many others. So I do collect certain Pop’s that stick out to me, this product being one of them. As a adult that saw THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS in 1993 as a kid, it left as lasting impression. So I just had to have the Amazon exclusive of Jack Skellington. The Pop itself, of course, is Jack modelled after his VHS self. It’s not a perfect 1:1 comparison as Jack’s long boney body for POP form, but it still retains the proper body gesture and spirit. The placement of Jack on his hill does differentiate between owners and the picture provided by Amazon. Amazon has it posited the figure is closer to the right side of the box, as to not cover up the background photo. My figure has it where Jack’s head is exactly in the middle, whereas his body is leaning to the left of the box. This makes it look symmetrically off balance to my eyes. It’s a minor squabble, but I much prefer Jack allow some space to show the background. As noted by the description, the background is of the standard VHS design of the 1990s. There are a few various designs of the VHS models you can look up on the internet, but the one here is the ‘true’ standard edition that was released. Because of the size of the Funko compared to the VHS size, the picture has been cropped, cutting out only the bottom of the original VHS cover. So we don’t get all the pumpkin patch or the bottom of the hill. Still, most of the picture is proper size to accommodate the Funko format that Jack and the Moon are perfectly done in the middle background. So considering the size, the price, and what is here, it’s a great POP. I just wish the figure itself was more properly aligned with being on the far left side or far right side of the frame to show off the background. So not perfect, but still pretty awesome for what it is.
