I can confidently say these are the best K-Cups I have ever used. Most single-serve pods struggle to deliver a true dark roast experience, but Dark Magic brews an exceptionally bold, intense cup of coffee. It has a surprisingly complex flavor profile for a pod, featuring subtle notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and dried fruit. It finishes smooth without the burnt or overly acidic aftertaste that ruins a lot of other dark roasts. It stands up beautifully to a splash of milk or cream without losing its robust coffee flavor. Keurig now manufactures Peet’s Big Bang and not only repackaged their brand but the coffee formula as well. So I had to find a similar strong but smooth coffee with chocolate notes. Don’t let “dark roast” fool you as my former Oeets brand was considered a medium roast. I was reluctant to purchase a dark roast in fear of it being too strong. After reading the reviews, I took a chance on a small box I picked up locally. Glad I did. This is simply a rich bodied coffee that does not taste bitter, watered down nor weak. We pair it with International Delight Sweet Cream and it’s amazing. This is not so strong I feel like I am drinking espresso… it’s just simply a rich, flavorful cup of coffee. Glad that I was able to find another pod so quick. I am (was) the biggest Peet’s fan but changing the formula was a disappointment. Take a chance and purchase Dark Magic. I highly recommend this pod.

I never tried this brand of coffee as I am a Starbucks coffee lover. I did get the chance to try it and my honest opinion is that it tastes delicious but closer to a dessert coffee . It kind of had rich flavors of raspberry and chocolate. It seemed very rich in complexity but did not have an aftertaste of bitterness. It seems lighter in profile than Starbucks as Starbucks has very deep , notes of smokey marshmallow and caramel topped with dark chocolate. I would have to say this is a very unique coffee and it definitely has my attention. I also did not feel weird or jittery after drinking it.

I love a good cup of coffee and this is it. Full bodied rich taste and not wimpy. This is my second box.
