Thank you for your inquiry. Glucoraphanin is the precursor to sulforaphane, which has been identified as the most beneficial compound in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables. The enzyme myrosinase is required to convert glucoraphanin to sulforaphane. WHY MYROSINASE IS IMPORTANT- Broccoli seed supplements containing glucoraphanin are of little benefit unless converted to sulforaphane. Without myrosinase, conversion is dependent upon microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. A recent study by Johns Hopkins University showed when people were given glucoraphanin alone, they only received an average of about 10 percent benefit. However, when the same people were given live, active myrosinase along with glucoraphanin (truebroc), the benefit they received increased to 30-45 percent. These estimates are according to the most recent John Hopkins studies. --- This shows that you can expect to receive at MINIMUM a 30% Sulforaphane conversation from our supplement.
