Progressive PL8 Stainless Steel Simple Release Garlic Press

I love this garlic press, mainly because of the easy preparation it allows and how it eliminates waste when pressing garlic. It is a sturdy kitchen tool, with a nice weight to it and feels good when holding it in the hand. It comes with a simple picture guide (directions) for easy use, since some may be confused at first on how to use it. It is different than other presses in the way that it has a plastic "scoop" attached to scrape out all of the minced garlic that may otherwise get left behind, like with other traditional presses. One needs to load it a certain way to benefit from this additional feature, which eliminates the garlic being stuck in the holes and left behind. I hate chopping garlic and this tool has greatly improved my cooking prep and saves me time. I simply press the garlic clove and scoop it into my bowl, pan, etc immediately.

Nice garlic press, looks nice and feels very nice and has good weight to it. I was a little confused how to use it at first but that's most likely user error. I assumed I could use it without having to peel the garlic first but never had too much luck with that. Once peeled though it does work better than my old garlic press. The scoop feature is a nice touch and makes it easier to get the garlic out. This press cleans really easy as you can push back all the features and really make sure you get it clean without having to spend too much time. I would recommend this for anyone who uses garlic while cooking on a regular basis and don't want to mess with the knife and cutting board. Time saver for sure!

I love my new garlic press it's perfect in every way I'm just confused on why it took someone so long to come up with such a great design .... I'm recommending this to everyone

Worked great for a while but some how the handle got bent at the connecting screws and broke.

I stopped cooking with garlic regularly because I couldn't deal with the dicing and the smell on my fingers. I've had garlic zooms and other garlic presses, but I still had to get your fingers up in there to get the garlic out. And lots of garlic would get caught in the blade and the whole thing was a pain to clean and wasted a lot of garlic.... This press, however, has that awesome red scoop that gets ALL the garlic out without your fingers having to do the dirty work. I used my cooking spatula to get some residue/oil off the press, which was also easy. I am really impressed by how all the garlic gets pressed -- no garlic was wasted in this little guy. No waste! Yay! The weight of the press is also great. This is a sturdy tool, you can tell. BONUS: it was a cinch to clean. My hands smell like hands rather than garlic. The only bad thing to come of this garlic press may be my boyfriend's reaction to me consuming more garlic... Highly recommend!

I’ll admit at first I was a little disoriented when using this garlic press. When you use it, you don’t press the garlic into your food or prep dish. You press the garlic and it stays in the press. After looking at it for a bit it became clear and I actually prefer this style. So now when I press the garlic it stays put in the ‘hopper’ of the press. This allows me to see how much I yielded from the press and also allows me to control how much makes it into the food. Once pressed, you can easily reach the red ‘flapper’ to eject your pressed garlic. I don’t anticipate any trouble with the ‘flapper’ but it is plastic/resin (?) and that might be the weak point if anything were to break. The rest is metal and feels good and strong.

Good looking design, but may brake just above the axis of release lever.

I love this garlic press! It’s very easy to use and I feel like it’s very efficient as well, I get most of the garlic with little left over. I’ve found other garlic presses to be awkward to use, I often had to use a spatula to scrape off the garlic that was squeezed out. I think the lever on this one is the best part! It flings all of the garlic right into the pan. Although this is dishwasher safe, I usually hand wash it as I use it so much. So another perk is that it is very easy to clean. This is becoming one of my favorite cooking tools!
