Very Effective
The only reason I didn’t give this device 5 stars is because both the website and the shipping box show that it’s supposed to create a suction grip when you press down hard to make the larger lip adhereto your work top. It would not adhere to my stone counter tops or my kitchen table top. Both surfaces were dry and immaculate. That’s not a big deal for me though because it’s still very grippy, holds all my mixing bowls securely at any angle, protects the ceramic bowl bottoms from inadvertent damage while mixing, and makes a perfect double boiler. I’m really glad to have this little gadget in my kitchen.

It is "truly" a Stabilizer
I love this, love this, love this. A more amazing or useful kitchen tool has not been created... I use it constantly. Anyone who bakes, cooks, scrambles eggs, or stirs anything should have this handy item. I have bought this for friends who also rave about its use. It holds most any size bowl stable on the counter top freeing up both your hands to do other things. You can stir or mix the stiffest batter, or cake mix using only one hand and bowl will not flip over, move or shake while doing so. It is easily washable, rinseable if batter gets on it or any food stuff by a quick rinse under the tap or a quick soapy wash and rinse. I cannot rave about this enough. I was not even aware something like this existed, except for a cooking show I was watching mentioned it so I searched it on Amazon and found it. It truly does what it advertises. Stabilizes your bowls. Now that I've found it I cannot live without it.

An answer to my kitchen prayers
Truth be told, I am a cookbook reader and mostly only a kitchen dabbler. But I have dreams. One of the most vexing problems to me has been bowl stabilization, especially in a process like creating an immersion for mayo and salad dressings. Just not enough hands. Yes, I have managed with the damp towel, but I grab my whisk less often than I should because it is such an awkward process whisking and adding ingredients with an unstable bowl. I am sure that I will be whisking a lot more now and feeling more chef-like for doing things properly and getting my muscles into them.I only received mine a few hours ago and did a try run. I tested bowls of varying sizes made of glass, stainless, ceramic, and melamine plastic. I got my whisk and beat them like a rented mule! The Staybowlizer kept them locked into place. I didn't realize, at first, that you can flip this puppy upside down for smaller bowls. It worked beautifully for bowls down to one quart. And I note that it is heat resistant to 500F and is recommended as an insert for an improvised double boiler. This thing is the bomb!

This is My Second
Some years ago my wife bought one for me. We do art and the gourds we work with fit nicely and remain stable as we carve and paint. Over time my black on has dulled from the heavy dust we make. Tossing it into the dishwasher helps. However you can see the wear and tear. Meanwhile, my wife’s green ring has stayed shiny.I decided on orange and expect to get quite a few more years of use out of it.

Staybowlizer
I made this purchase after a frustrating baking experience with my hand held mixer and double checking pricing for my preferred stand mixer. So far I've only used the tool once for a much less complicated recipe but I can see the improved functionality to my food prep process. Generally I am pleased with the purchase especially from a cost/benefit perspective.

Well worth $20. Works great!
Man this beats the towel wrapped around a bowl to hold it still!$20 to hold a bowl still while you stir/whip/whisk/mix stuff?? I had my doubts, but it sure looked like just what I was looking for. And after I got it I've found it's well worth that. And it will last forever. It's bigger than I thought and that's a good thing. It will hold the smallest bowl I'm likely to use and also the largest. I keep it under my stack of mixing bowls for storage.I read some person's review saying it slips around on the countertop. All I can say is you need to clean off your countertops every once in a while... And keep the Stabowlizer clean too by just rinsing it off. This thing sticks like it's glued down. Made of a soft rubber that has a nice tack to it that sticks to the surface of the counter nicely and also holds the bowl still while you whisk away. Frees one hand to pour in stuff while the other one whisks.Definitely recommended!
