CANON G7X III BLACK Review: Great - Camera came in perfect condition. You get exactly what you think you are getting. Review: Not good as webcam replacement using Canon Webcam Utiilty - Bought as a webcam replacement and used Canon's (beta) Webcam Utility. The picture comes up in Zoom or Teams, however it does not fill the entire screen and there are black bands (dead space) around the image. There is no setting to fix this. I specifically bought this camera for this feature. You can run it through OBS Studio and crop the feed, but it doesnt look great in Teams or Zoom. I'm sure if I bought a capture card, it would have worked better, but was hoping not to need a capture card.

These are not new cameras.
I’ve had a cannon G7X mark ii, that i got from best buy, for over a year and the screen cracked, loved the camera thought so thought i would level up to the newer model. I’m not sure if they send me a refurbished camera or what, but i have a ton of weird problems with it. I’ve been using my old one until i can get a new one. Do not buy. I have a youtube channel Sadie Crowell where i do all my videos and most of them are filmed on my old camera, a few on my new and you can def see the difference
