I just love the way these things spin onto threaded shafts. So smooth...effortless. You do, of course, want to properly lubricate the rubber seal with a dab of motor oil, so as to prevent the seal from binding when you thread the filter onto the shaft and tighten it no more than that which your fingers are capable. I'm a big fan of orange & black, so that's a bonus. I really don't understand the naming convention, though. I think they should label these filters like how they name AI large language models. Instead of looking up PH4967, I'd rather search for the Julia filter or the Alexander and know it's a perfect fit for my riding lawn mower (which I had named Claude, and now I'm really upset with Anthropic). One more thing...that black stuff on the end gives me massive grip on this filter!! Sometimes I can remove the old Fram filter with no special tools. I just grab it and twist it and giggle with glee when I break the seal. I will probably keep buying the O&B's (Orange and Black's) for quite some time. I'm attached.

Working great with no leaks. Nothing seals like a fram. They filter fine. Change your oil every 3000 miles or 3 months no matter what the equipment or machine is. Condensation gets into the oil no matter what your oil "life" is rated. Change it and use cheap orange fram filters and Castrol conventional. Detergents kill motors and seals. Your motor will last a very long time if you do. If you do not, you will complain when it inevitably dies at the exact time the engineers designed it to fail. Change your oil regularly and do not get paranoid about filter types. Just change stuff regularly, because oil does not last 7500 miles when water is out there and so are metal shavings in your engine.

I only used it for initial engine break-in, but it performed well.
