Flawed but saved my lights, with a tweak
I thought for ages my light setup was a goner after my V3 lightstrips broke but with a few adaptors I managed to save most pieces, and these transformed my cut V3 ends into useable lights. With a caveat.Out of the box the connectors when closed did not press down enough and so some of the connections weren't making contact. Bending them wasn't enough to secure the connection so I improvised and now they work great. So here's my top tip.If yours aren't connecting very well, when you cut the plastic casing off the lightstrip, keep it. Then cut a small piece of it the size of the terminals inside the connector. It should fit snugly across and be about 2mm wide. Pop that inside the connector then close it shut (I used a small pair of pliers to click them in place as it is hard to do by hand with the extra piece of rubber/plastic in there). This made the connections all good and so now everything is working again. So they lose a star by not being quite firm enough to keep the connectors in contact, but I give 4 stars because they saved me buying a new 2m worth of extensions. They are pricey but if they work it is worth it.

Easy to install
Expensive for what they are but it saves throwing away the more expensive Hue strip so good value overall.

Great idea let down by poor execution
To start I will concede that these are the only product that allows you to split a light strip and for that reason they deserve some credit. The mechanical design itself is good and as a prototype they almost work. I say almost. The plastic is too soft to create even pressure on the contacts with the result that only some or no LEDs light on the extension and they intermittently turn on and off. Holding and squeezing the connectors resolves things. Like others I had to cut bits of card and insert them under the light strip to pack them out and get an acceptable connection. To fix these they need to change the material or add some reinforcing as they just don't work properly out of the box - at 16 pounds for four that's not good enough.

Avoid at all cost!
Poor quality. Phillip Hue Light Strip recommended this supplier for use when having to cut and connect. However, the product is hugely inferior to the Phillips Hue Light Strip. I have followed video instruction for cutting and connector this connector. Pliers are recommended to close the clasp, but it is of such shocking quality that it is nearly impossible to clip closed and when it does, the slightest of movement will pop it open. Then the connection is terrible, to work correctly, you need to hold closed with force; otherwise, power is not conducted through to all leads. I have also found that the pin connector is weak. The pins are a thinner design and therefore make a poor fit, the pin block does split to allow Phillips Hue Light Strip to connect, but it still leaves to tiny pins into connector making it a weak point.

Great idea but poor quality
A great idea but unfortunately the product is not very well executed. The quality is poor for the price and the connections are tricky to get secure in the right place, leading to intermittent connections on my light strip. It's also hard to remove the 6 pin connector to make these into female ends - the pins fell out and bent on one occasion.

Fiddly and may not fit inside an aluminium profile
This purpose made connector is not intended to be used with a Lightstrip V3 that has already been cut along the mark printed on it. Instead the instructions are to cut through the copper pads next to the cut mark. I found that the connector's internal spring contacts needed some finessing to make reliable contact to the copper pads, due to the differing thickness of solder they carried.Be aware that, the connectors are a little bit wider than the Lightstrip V3, and this prevents them from fitting inside a 16mm aluminium profile mounting strip that is intended for Hue Lightstrip V3So, they are a bit fiddly to fit but are useful to make use of cut-off sections - unless you need to mount in a 16mm profile strip.

Must for Hue light strip
Worth every penny as you can already get value out of your Hue light strips.

MIRACOLOSI!

It Just Works
If you are looking to install Philips Hue strip lighting, and have anywhere that you want a break in the light to extend to another location, there is nothing else that is as highly recommended as these adapters from Litcessory. I purchased them based purely on those reviews (and largely due to there being no "official" and few other unofficial options for an extension cable that was not just another light strip). There is no doubt that these work, and they are almost as simple as advertised, so if this is a project you have planned look nowhere else.I purchased these and the 10ft extension cable to allow me to run a Philip Hue Light Strip Plus underneath the longest stretch of cabinets in our kitchen. The issue that I ran into was the open section where the range sat above the cooktop. Running lights under there would have looked strange since they would have been exposed on the sides of the cabinets, and ruined the clean look I was going for. Philips Hue does not make a lightless extension, so I had to find something that would allow me to run cable inside the cabinets, over the range, and down to the next section. I found these, and they really do work. The important thing to do when installing these is to watch the videos and read the supplied instructions carefully to make sure you cut the light strips in the right way. That was a bit more fiddly than I would have though, but ultimately not that hard if you were even considering installing the under cabinet lights yourself to begin with. Be extra careful with the male-to-female adapters since they are very fiddly to put back in if you accidentally remove them. If you are careful, they are almost literally plug-and-play.Now that I've had them up a few days I've had no issues with connection or synchronization between the split strips. Everything looks as it should, and moreso maintained the clean look I wanted under the cabinets. Take your time, read the instructions, and these will give you the freedom to design the lighting you want.

Sehr gute Lösung
Die Clips halten, was sie versprechen. Allerdings braucht man eine ruhige Hand. Ansonsten sehr gute Qualität und funktionell! Empfehlenswert!
