Godsend. Quick hair removal. No bumps for me.
This was a godsend for me! Detailed review to follow (and note: use it -against- the grain of your hairs!) I took a risk because I usually avoid products with a lot of back and forth reviews but I *really* needed an epilator. As someone with PCOS it has just been so tedious to pluck my chin hairs every 2 weeks and waxing is also a lot of work and so messy. I have around 50+ individual thick hairs on my chin (yes like pretty much a scraggly chinbeard) and this epilator made SHORT work of it in only like 5 minutes, NO bumps! It got all of them! And I never usually pluck my lip hairs but I ran it gently over my upper lip as well and it got all those as well. If you do end up having bumps it's not necessarily an issue of the epilator. If you're not used to plucking or waxing at all and this was your first time? You may get bumps. If you have sensitive skin, you may get bumps. Even tweezing can give you bumps as oddly, this happens to me from time to time with tweezing and -didn't- happen with the epilator. When I get bumps from tweezing it goes away in a few hours. My suggestion before you jump to an epilator is to get yourself used to actually tweezing all the hairs. You'll know what kind of pain to expect and over enough time, it will barely hurt. For me this is the case. Because I'm so used to waxing and tweezing, the epilator didn't hurt very much though it was kind of scary to turn on and use the first time. The epilator did also pick up my extra fine soft thin facial hairs. If it's not picking up these hairs for you, either you're not using it against the grain of your hair (basically if your hair is laying downward, you need to hold the epilator upside down so it's scraping upward) or your hairs are too fine or possibly oily. --Lastly, there is NO reason you should be using this device for an hour! I'm so confused as to how or why someone mentioned that in their review but if it doesn't seem to be working after at least a few contacts with your hairs, don't rub it all over your face for an extended amount of time. You're going to burn the gears out and also possibly burn your face from the friction. In any case this is an amazing and affordable product that has greatly cut down on my grooming time and I would absolutely purchase it again. My chin was completely smooth afterward. In my opinion it was worth the risk of it possibly not working and I'd suggest anyone at least -try- it.

My new go to for facial hair removal
I am nearing 40 and as I am getting older, I have noticed an increase in annoying facial hair. I pluck, have used wax strips and hair removal creams, but they are messy and can be painful. While this handy device is not painless, it is super easy to use and really does help the problem. I have found that after almost a month of use, my facial hair grows back at a very impressive slow rate. I have only had to use it two or three times in the month - the first time and then two touch ups. And the time between touch-ups has increased and the amount of hair I have had to remove each time has decreased. I have developed a method that seems to help a bit with the pain too. I found my upper lip to be the most painful, so I save it for last. I do around my eyebrows, a bit on my chin, and then tackle my upper lip. Seems to help prepare me and it doesn't hurt as much I guess. Fact is, the thing is ripping multiple hairs out at a time, but the pain is no worse than tweezing and a lot less than waxing, and the minimizing of the hair removal project over time is a huge bonus. I am glad I make the purchase!

Doesn’t remove hair properly
⭐️ 1 star Very disappointed with this epilator. It barely removes the hair and definitely does not work as I expected. I bought it specifically to pull the hair out from the root, but it misses most of the hairs even after going over the same area several times. It feels like a waste of money. I would not recommend it.

Works!
This works. The question everyone wants to know, I’m guessing, is does it hurt? The answer is yes, it hurts, especially if you’re using it on an area that you’ve never waxed or plucked before. However, it hurts significantly less than waxing. I’ve been waxing my upper lip for years, and it hurts every time. With this little miracle, though, it was nothing more than a minor irritant. I used it on the side of my face, and that hurt a bit more, since I’ve never removed hair there, but nothing severe. I even used between my eyebrows, and it worked, too(I wouldn’t use it under my brows, though. There’s not enough control to get a good line). I conjured up my courage and attempted my underarms, and here is where I took off a star. It was not effective at all—I think it doesn’t have enough tweeze-wheel-things and not enough power to do the hair there. I think, if I want to do my underarms, I would need a more powerful epilator. Overall, this is a handy little guy works well on the face, is less painful than waxing, and well worth the money.

Learning curve
The main reason I'm only giving three stars is because there's a bit of a learning curve with this device-- at least there was for me. As background, I've had dark, prominent upper lip hair for most of my life, presumably having to do with my Mexican heritage. I'm in my mid-30s but have always just trimmed the hair rather than shaving or epilating, because I didn't want ingrown hairs on my upper lip. However, a few months ago I started using a more heavy-duty epilator on my leg hair, which made me think I should try this product for my face. I've used it for a few weeks now and can confirm that it does remove some of the hair. The instructions say to lightly guide the epilator upwards, against the grain of the hair, but I found personally I need to use a more erratic motion to actually remove hair. Definitely a very light touch is needed for the tweezers to grab the hairs. It's tricky along the curve of the lip. Also, no matter how patiently I maneuver the device, it will never remove all of the hair. That's fine I guess, because even removing some of it makes the whole appearance of the hair less visible, but it's not a complete solution. It's still better than individually tweezing, which I can never be bothered to do.

So glad I finally bought this!!
Okay so I never write reviews, and yet I rely exclusively on reviews when deciding to buy a product or not. I held out on buying this item for close to a year because of its many negative reviews. Finally I caved and decided to give it try and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Getting all the way honest here, I'm a female in my twenties and I have the unfortunate curse of battling a mustache since my early teens. I've always stayed on top of it with waxing, plucking and of course my trusty flawless but it's still very much my biggest insecurity. When I first heard of epilators, I immediately wanted to try one but it seemed like none of them are actually made to be used on your face. Except for this cheap Remington one with the not so great reviews.. So I finally order it and give it a try. OMG you guys, it works!! It gets all those nasty hairs and maybe I'm just used to ripping the hair out already but it doesnt even hurt, it actually feels kinda like acupuncture in a way. The secret is finding the best angle and position while holding it on your skin. It says to hold skin tight and use the epilator in circular motions, I do that, I also go straight across, up and down, I hold it backwards, I use it in every single possible position until my upper lip is completely smooth and clear. I definitely recommend exfoliating before use to get all the dead skin out of the way so no hairs are blocked. And this is important.. when you're done, clean the the tweezers part with rubbing alcohol or witch's hazel or whatever you prefer, but make sure you clean it after every use or else it will spread bacteria and break you out bad!! So yes I recommend this product if you are cursed like me. It takes some getting used to before you get it down perfect, but you will achieve perfect results with the very first use, it's just gonna require some extra passes till you get it down.

MAGICAL tool & so worth it!!!
There are so many things I’ve been wanting to take the time to review but just haven’t done it - well I HAD to share my experience with this epilator! It’s my first time ever using one and I’m hooked! WHY did I wait this long!? This little thing is so efficient and useful. Of course there is pain with any kind of hair plucking, but I just take short breaks when I need to. I was never much of a waxing kinda gal (tried several times myself but had a hard time being precise & it just ended up a sticky mess. This magical tool can even grab up my tiny, thin facial peach fuzz - something I could never really do with tweezers! Something I’ve learned is you need to be exfoliating the areas you use this on so the new hair growth doesn’t get stuck beneath dead skin cells, causing ingrown hairs and other issues. A few days ago I just decided to go for it.....and I epilated both my armpits. I can’t tell you how happy I am with that impromptu decision I made! I did purchase the larger Braun epilator for future underarm plucking, but this did the job! It’s now 3 days later and I’m still as smooth as a baby!! What!? Ladies, guys, whoever is thinking about giving this a try - DO IT! Oh - I also used a small piece of frozen aloe leaf to rub on the areas I epilated and it soothed my skin right away, taking away the redness for good. I just bought a full aloe leaf from the grocery store, sliced it in half to reveal the actual aloe then small squares and froze. I really hope this is helpful for someone, as I greatly depend on other people’s reviews!!! I was iffy about getting this since there are some bad reviews, but with the price and the 2 year warranty (which is in the little info booklet) it’s totally worth it!

Save Your Money, Get A Razor
This technically works, but I'm no impressed. The device misses a lot of hair. I'd rather get knicked by a razor and know the hairs gone then get knicked by this and have to keep holding my skin taut and do it again and again. Not worth it, but two stars because the batteries work and the machine gets some hair (I think?).

Perfect for My Needs
I’ve had a small facial tweezer system for years, but suddenly I’d completely misplaced it. That’s when I decided to try this one. The charge is amazing and is lasting well even with virtually daily use. The plucking/tweezing is good and as long as you don’t let the hair get too long it’s relatively painless. The unit is very easy to hold so you can pluck/tweezer comfortably. The overall quality of the facial tweezer system is good. The performance is really good. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend this facial tweezer system.
