is this the best choice for voice dictation on windows 10 - rather not use a headset at work leaves my hair looking like I lost a fight with a chicken

Feel really sorry about your hair, but dont worry, I will get over it. I use it on a Mac (they are just as annoying as PCs) and I am happy with the microphone. No downloading software, it works right away. It has a nice long boom arm, so it is easy to get it out of the way. That is very important for me because I have long beard. I used to go to conferences and gave talks. Those clip-on microphones they use there generally diappeared in my beard. There must be about 10 of them by now. So, I always have to be carefule with what I am saying.

This microphone has some noise?  (like wind noise during recording, which have some microphones) or it records cleanly, without any noise?

Currently I am not doing any recording, just live training on line and none of my students have said anything about wind noise, in fact they have found the sound great on their end.  And my mic is a about a foot in front my TV speaker and there is no speaker noise when they talk.  Hope this helps.  I will test some recording items andbreturn.
