h2o Smart SIM Starter Kit 3-in-1 GSM SIM Card

I ordered this SIM card to upgrade my H2O account to 4G LTE. I have been with H2O for more than a year. When I joined, they did not have the LTE support. Recently, they upgraded their services and for some reason, you need to get a brand new SIM card in order to upgrade your account. The H2O LTE network is good and stable. The LTE speed varies of course based on many factors. The last time I checked the speed it was around 12 Mbps. I am also using an unlocked T-Mobile branded phone and the LTE woks great. This SIM card kit is very good. It was successfully registered with H2O wireless for 4G LTE service. Compared to other 3-in-1 SIM, the nano is really fixed very firmly to the Micro, which is very good. I tried other SIM card in which the nano will fall by itself on any small press, and it is hard to fix it later. This one is better, you need to apply a strong press to take the nano out.

Things are changing fast in the industry, more so in recent days. For now, at the time of this writing, March 2017, H2O's offering can still be a blessing to many folks with GSM-based phones. The price of their pay-as-you-go is really a bargain for talk/text. They use the AT&T network, which is very good all over the US. I have yet to experience any serious issues, if any issues at all. However, you DON'T want to use data with this particular program, but read on. Not one of several people I've recommended H2O to over the past 2 years has left them. In fact, like me, a few of them, have already upgraded to their monthly service. I am merely going to suggest that you go take a look at these monthly offers and compare. Truly, I am tempted to keep them as a secret but perhaps I'll get a reward "upstairs" for sharing. Again, this paragraph is about their monthly plans, where even DATA becomes appealingly affordable. H2O is not long on words, much less on customer support...the system simply works...and they do go beyond stated offers, within reason. A neat thing is that the same card can be upgraded over the phone. But back to the basic PAYG, it is so good and reasonable that I always have a spare phone or two running under this program. (Each car has an emergency old spare phone unit, and visitors may also get an old "recycled" spare during family reunions.) That's because the talk/text minutes have long expiration periods and they also pile up month-to-month. It is great to not have to worry about "top-ups" every month. It think their cycle is really like 90 days. Then, just $10 at a time gets you re-extended for a ton of expiration time (and more talk time than I actually use). About the only item I'd complain about is that a card will become totally useless if the expiration time expires and then you lose the associated phone#. They are tied forever after initializing the card. Then again, that's common practice in the industry. The solution is to either avoid expiration or, like me, keep a spare new card lined up just in case.

Website won't work (drop-downs missing, can't link cell number to account, can't recharge). Customer Service was useless. Go elsewhere. Why this product is so cheap? Well basically everytime a seller sells one H2O Sim Card and the buyer activates it on the H2O line the seller gets a commission so he is able to make some profit. Pros (why this SIM card is worth it): H2O runs on the ATT Line which provides a good coverage in the United States The plans are extremely cheap compared to other carriers like T-Mobile or Sprint. H2O works on ATT Locked Phones flawlessly or ATT GoPhones (And of course Unlocked Cell Phones) H2O Customer Service is amazing, I been using H2O for around 3 years and contact through Live Chat and problems are resolved in a matter of minutes, Cons: You need to personally set up an APN or install an iOS profile to get Data Working or Picture Messaging. Data Speeds aren't extremely fast and around 8 Mbps Pings are around 60-70ms which is also not that great. Conclusion: At first I was a bit skeptical about buying a sim off Amazon for only a penny thinking I might get scammed or something around those lines but, I had the urge to do it because it's only a penny and Amazon customer service is amazing if I have any problems! Well the order came through regular mail (the one without tracking) in around six days. I was able to activate the sim and was able to use it flawlessly through H2O Customer Service.

Got this for my daughter. Used H2O before and it worked out well for me. The shipping by Spartan Technologies (third party seller) took 3 days from Chicago, IL to Seattle WA. Then I logged onto my H2O account and activated the SIM and gave me the new number. Then I put the SIM card into my daughter's phone and it didn't work. H2O page says, "SIM activated but need to contact customer service." I realized that meant, SIM has been indeed activated, but they did not charge my credit card. Therefore it didn't work - it showed that the phone number of the SIM has been expired. So I went to the yellow tap "RECHARGE" and put the number in, and put the credit card information again, and after few minutes (5 minutes or so), it worked. Using Auto Recharge saves 10%. So it only charges me $27 flat for unlimited text, talk, and 3GB data per month. A great deal. The only thing I have a complain is that H2O should have better and clearer instruction with their SIM card or even in their website for new customers. Overall, with some patience, you will save a lot of money with H2O.

I thought I could use this for when I travel internationally [outside the US]. However, upon receiving it and looking more into it, I realized that they do not cover outside the US. You can make calls or text to numbers outside the US, but you cannot use it outside the country. The information I found from the reviews on Amazon was a bit deceiving since there are a few reviews regarding traveling. Those reviews were referring to traveling inside the US. It seems like those reviewers are from outside the US and I did not notice that until looking deeper into it. I did a bit more research and there are other sim cards that you can use for when traveling outside the US. However, it might be cheaper to get the sim card when you arrive at the country instead of purchasing a sim card specifically for traveling since the rates can be on average 25 cents for just 1 mb of data. For this particular company, the monthly fee cost a few bucks less that the pay-as-you-go. The sim card can be in three different sizes so it will most likely fit your phone. It seems like customer service is horrible according to some of the reviews. This product only cost a cent because the company that ships it to you gets a commission when you activate the card. I cannot give an accurate rating since I thought this sim was for traveling outside the US. This was my fault. However, the reviews and descriptions provided were a bit deceiving.

I just activated this morning and everything went fine and got the credit in my account right away. Make sure the SIM card is shipped and sold by Amazon. Otherwise, it does not work. Here are the steps that I did. 1. Create an account on their web site www.h2owirelessnow.com 2. Call 1-800-643-4926 3. Press 2 to activate service > Press 5 for new number > Press 2 if not a dealer > Press 7 to activate Minutes Plan > Press 1 to enter ActFast code, which is on the back of the card 4. Enter your zip code and area code you want your number to be 5. After a number is automatically selected, it'll be read out to you. Record that number 6. Put the SIM card in your phone and it should automatically connect to the network. Turn off the phone and turn it back on if it does not get the signal and H2O icon. 7. If successful, you'll get a text message informing that the activation was successful and your phone number 8. Use another phone to make a phone call to this new number to make sure it works 9. Now login to your account on www.h2owirelessnow.com 10. Click on View My Account link on top right of the page 11. Click Add a Line button and submit your newly created phone number 12. You'll get a text message with a 6-digit code on your phone. Enter it to verify 13. You should see the credit in there
