For a number of years I've used the scum sponges that look like turtles or seals etc. They usually came in a package of 20 or so for around $20.00. One day I decided to buy this brand to change things up a bit. I felt they were expensive considering they sold for $15 for 2 units, but the reviews were good so I clicked on the "purchase now button." The packaging says each sponge will last an entire season. I've used for 2 weeks, and they do not change color immediately like the sponges I used previously. The best thing is they do a TERRIFIC job. My water is extremely clear, as the sponges cleared out any super-tiny debris in the water column. As you can see in the photo, the clarity is exceptional. These are absolutely worth the money and I highly recommend them for your spa.

Love love love this product. I have a kiddie pool that can’t take cleaners like salt or chlorine. I paired this with a small bird fountain and the pool went from needing to be changed every other day to once a week. The only reasons I took one star away is that they can be a little hard to fully clean. They are super durable and I have even used th to wipe the sides of the pool. I use vinegar to clean them once really dirty and then reuse them. They are about the size of your hand and just float on top of the water. Super easy pool maintenance.

These are replacements from my previous pair I had for 3yrs! They hold up really well and help keep the oil out of my hot tub. I like how small they are and they can float while we're in the hot tub without taking up space.

These are great little scum busters. I have used them before and these are the best for me. Nicely priced for a two pack.

Don't be fooled they are advertised as 8" x 8". The ones I got were 3-3/4" wide by 4-1/2" tall. A little small for our 6 person hot tub. They do float and seem to collect the oils on the top of the water though.

Don't waste your money on the cheap ones, they fall apart and stick to the spa. These stay in one peice and actually collect the scum. Rinse out and reuse as well.

15 bucks plus tax and shipping. Adsorbs 40 times its weight in scum? They weigh nothing. I bet a Mr Clean Magic Eraser would work better. They are cheap light weight sponges. Unless I’m missing something I bought two very expensive dollar store sponges! Zero stars if I could.

Works great as they float around the hot tub and pick up floating bits of debris. Have used these for years and my original one is just now starting to break down a bit. Highly recommend.

I've been using the Sponge bugs for many years! I find them to be a great product for removing scum and oils that can build up in a hot tub so it cuts down on cleaning. Just throw it in and let it do the work!

$10 a pop for a sponge - what a rip off. They work, they are cheaper than store bought but the entire hot tub industry is a price gouge. They appear to work as advertised but cleaning instructions aren’t great.
