Review: Love poems like “One and the same” (35) and “Breathtaking” ... - Review: Wise words for the 21st-century wanderer. If you’ve ever felt lost or misunderstood, broken and shambled, dismissed and discarded, this book is for you. Elle writes from an informal perspective in parts of the book, while keeping a first person omniscient narrator as the book contains “notes to self”. Love poems like “One and the same” (35) and “Breathtaking” (37) emphasize the overwhelming pleasure one experiences with one’s true love, while “#anote2self” explains the process of forgiving the loved ones who have hurt you, in lieu of despair, in pursuit of acceptance and admiration of one’s self, “The beauty in all the hurt is the resilience of the heart – trust me, you will love again.” (29) Words From A Wanderer targets no age group or ethnic culture, but targets the broken hearted in an attempt to let the reader know, that he/she is not alone in what they are feeling. It was the most touching book of poetry I’ve read recently. It is uplifting, emphatic of the culture of love/despair that has since flourished in our society, and eye-opening. Overall, a great read and a wonderful experience. Review: Has something for everybody - I found Alex Elle on Instagram and twitter from a natural hair blog. I always noticed her empowering words she would post; so of course when her book came out I knew I needed to buy it and support. This book has given me so much support and has inspired me to write as a form of expression. I had the opportunity to meet Alex a few weeks ago in Philadelphia and she signed my book. She is a wonderful woman and very down to earth. She was very appreciative for the support. This book has definitely brightened my mood on down days and has made good days even better. If you want something to carry around as an emotional "pick me up", or a spark of creativity, PURCHASE THIS BOOK.

Journey of healing, self love, strength, and regaining your power!
I just started this because I needed to take a moment to focus back on myself. I have been reading a page a day...that is the most effective way to read these daily reminders. Reading it straight through won’t have the same effect. Her words are powerful. I start each morning with a new page and it sets the tone for the day. Alex Elle’s words are a blessing. Anyone looking for assistance on their journey of self love, healing, strength and regaining your power , this is the book for you!

Great for a positive mindset
I love this book. I bought it a while ago but never used it. After the turbulent journey over the past two years I cracked it open. I used it daily in a group chat for myself, my sister and my best friend. Currently we are on day 60 and have 2 days left. This has been a great help as we are on a journey to a more positive mindset!

AWESOME BOOK!!!!!
Let me first start out by saying that I love Alex!!! I first found out about her from Instagram and started to fall in love with her, her journey, and family. She has a beautiful soul and you will see that in her writings! This book has helped me so much. Even though I wish it could have been a little longer, I would defitenly say that her words are powerful and she doesn't have to say much to woo you. For people who don't like reading short books, my advice is read a page a day and mediate on it to truly enjoy it. She is a great writer and I plan on purchasing more books from her soon.

Excellent book for therapeutic use with young teens
Excellent book for therapeutic use with young teens. Short enough quotes that they can hear them and not zone out. Also good for artistic meditation. Fair warning, it is short quotes/poems on each page not a long book or long poems. Overall, I love this book and I have used it as meditation points for myself.

Fantastic Book
I've bought this for myself & later for my sister. This book is so necessary for people (mainly women) who have been through hardships or are currently going through hardship. I read one passage a day and if I want to contemplate a particular passage for much longer, I re-read it each day for a week until I'm ready to move on to the next passage. I feel the negative reviewers have issues with this book because they're reading it one way; just reading the whole book through in one go. This isn't that type of book. Yes, it's a thin book, but every passage has a deeper meaning and someone would be remiss if they didn't take the time to fully digest the different messages Alexandra is conveying.

Feels like she speaks straight from her heart to mine...
I've followed Alex on Instagram and Twitter for quite awhile and I found myself constantly doing screenshots and reposts of almost everything she said. I wished all along that she would compile it all in a book, so for me--this collection of notes and poems was perfect! She has a very intriguing perspective and she expresses herself in such a pure and thought-provoking way. This is a great keepsake and I was more than happy to support such a talented individual!
