Great product
I bought this too target shoot with and to test to see how well it works and to see if they are as good as everyone talks about. When i got it I was super pleased with the clarity of the glass even though it has a little green tent to it. The gold dot I love i even had my mom try it because she’s blind in one eye and she actually really liked it as well. I like how you can do the 3 different reticles they are very visible and goes super bright and all the way down to night vision. I’m super happy and impressed with this sight I’ll definitely be buying more holosuns. I bought the 512 just because it has the closed emitter plus I wanted something tough because I’m paraplegic and I drop things at times so I didn’t want anything getting in and blocking the LED from shining. It definitely seems durable. I’m sure the battery life is good even if it’s not it has solar to back it up which is why I went with it as well normally I just go with scopes so I don’t have to mess with batteries. The price I paid I was happy with and it’s super easy to install my mom helped tightened the screws for me since my grip strength isn’t that great. Definitely worth it and happy with it!

Great for an AR10
Been holding up on my AR10 for several months now without a single issue. The gold reticle is easy for my eyes to catch in a fast moving situation. Haven't had to replace the battery. Great item for a great price

Good value.
I like red dots. Green dots leave me continuing to see a Green Dot after I look away. Yellow dot absolutely perfect for my eyes. I liked it so much. I bought two more. I can see this just fine at night and during the day in the desert of Arizona. It's plenty, bright and at night it's a nice mellow yellow.

I approve
Not cheap but not expensive either, it's well made and is good bang for the buck. Yep it's made in china, and while I would love to buy american, the EOTech sights are 2x as much, and if you're talking about adding a 3x magnifier we're way over a grand. The glass is clear, it's sturdy, the battery life is amazing, no need to fidget with any buttons and it'll work with a dead battery thanks to the solar panel. It's extremely bright and the gold is pleasing to the eye.I hope one of the other US brands make something this good at this price point and even though I'm no fan of the Chinese government, I have to say this product is just plain good.My peeve is I can't fit the optic, the magnifier, and a back up sight on my rail, but fortunately the magnifier has a quick release, so I guess if I need to set my rifle up for longer range defense someday I have the option, but for now I left it off and kept my back up irons.

Buy it!
Quality sight holds 0 well. Looks cool too! Almost futuristic. I bought 2. I sold the gold version my eye tracks green and red better but the gold was cool.

Installed, but not shot with it yet
This is a bit preliminary. However, I have a lot of experience in the firearm world and from the overall feel of this optic I think its safe to say its high quality. the reticles are crisp and clear. This is compared to eotechs and the holosun is about half the price of the 512. Lines are far more crisp. The reticle on this one is "gold" color which I was not expecting. Honestly, I don't foresee it causing an issue. It did throw me off as I'm used to a red reticle. Will see how it holds up after some abuse.

Love it, but...
Really good optic. Love everything it does. It is however stuck on the rail now. I've broken a dozen T10s trying to get it off. So if u get one just don't over tighten the mount

Looks clunky but performance is spot on
Got this to put on a high end AR pistol after looking and shopping for a while. I knew I wanted a dot scope but I love holographic sights. We’re getting ready for my son to start shooting and he’s color blind, reds show up as grey to him so the Eotech I have on my other rifle is visible to him but it doesn’t pop out like it does for non color blind people,so I figured a good gold dot reticle would solve that.Unpacking and mounting was super easy. I was surprised at how big and clunky the sight looks, but that’s also a factor of how solid it is. Once it’s mounted it’s a rock, no flex or wobble at all. Motion activation is perfect and the reticle is nice and bright with plenty of adjustment. Zero was easy with a laser boresight, I wanted 50 yards so just had to drop elevation a bit. Handed it to my son and he can see it quite easily to I’d chalk that up as a success.First range visit was perfect. It was zeroed perfectly and didn’t move at all after a couple hundred rounds. The giant side profile all bit disappears when you’re looking through the sights, and cowitness with my flip up sights was perfect.Overall wish it didn’t look like a LEGO block, but for performance and visibility no complaints at all. Recommended.
