It says "Apply activator to lead attachment area on window and tab", but then says to not use the activator on the tab. Which is it?

Clean lead attachment than apply activator hold tab on it for awhile until it is holding.don’t plug in cable wire to it for 24 hours.

Just received this kit and adhesive seems watery, is this normal? I thought it would knead into a putty like adhesive.

I don't recall that it ever got to a paste-like consistency. The adhesive is sufficiently liquid that it could be mixed up and worked into a consistent color all the while being in the original shipping packet. I was able to get the tab to attach tightly by coating both the tab and the metal grid with the adhesive liquid.

Do I re-glue the tab to the same spot as before, or to a different spot in the contact area?

the instructions are with the package, you glue it to a spot where there is conductive material.
