E8 400MM Package Set Stainless Automatic Gate Opener With Wired Keypad and IR Beams for Dual Swing Gate

I've had this unit for over 2 years now and it still works great. I paired it with a universal gate opener since I wasn't able to connect my truck to this until and you must use the remotes it came with. This unit will still allow use of the remotes that come with the unit but you can also pair it with your vehicle.

Fairly complete set. It does not come with cable. You need to buy some outdoor rated, and/or direct burial low voltage flexible electrical cord, some conduit, and conduit fittings. You need power too. I used a 25 watt solar panel and charge controller, but a 50 watt may be better for frequent use. If you have regular 120Vac electrical service at the gate, that will work instead of solar. There is a center, drive over, "stop" (well made of heavy duty rubber) that is required to prevent the wind from continually rattling the openers, which wears them out. I have not figured out how to plow snow with the center stop in the way, but I guess I can hand shovel that area. Nice looking, but not sure how long it will last. Most parts are made in China, but what is not made in China these days? The controller is NOT the "does everything you can ever think of" (modern) design, but it is adequate for normal residential use. I would classify this as an "advanced" D.I.Y. project. Guess that is why the companies which normally install them, "get the big bucks" ?

What a great deal!!!!!!!! Arrived early really good construction installation was easy,love the look. I added a longer antenna for better range and the 12v relay for the 115v lights which I placed on the side posts. Customer service is first class. I replaced the mighty mule which I had a lot of problems with. Update as of 3/25/2019 Still working awesome. Only problem I have is I lost the instructions and had to call them for new one's. (My Fault) will be ordering more for my ranch. All I can say is First Class All The Way. Wanted to update this as everything is STILL WORKING ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From 2015 to 2025 and Still going.

I LOVE these gate openers. easy instructions. easy assembly. the only issue, if you can call it that, is that it takes a while to get them just right. but if you use clamps and follow instructions you can get them dialed in. I am so happy I picked these! we added more wire to antenna and now they open from around the corner.

I purchased two units for two separate gates. Within 30 minutes of operation one motherboard went dead. The other remains function for the past 3 days. I am trusting that the functional unit will remain so for several years. Will give an update in the future.

I think Jason is the best part of this transaction. Great vendor response, even on weekends and evenings. The gate system seems to work great so far. I have added a few options that Jason helped with additional wiring instructions, including information on wiring to operate with solar power. The keypad and IR sensors are working as designed. Options were wiring in a switch that allows the gate system to remain open and a momentary switch on the inside of the gate to let people out who don't have the wireless remotes.

The technology is 20 years older, never functioning normal. communicated with the seller multiple times, still unable to figure out the problems, eventually exceed the return time period. I do not recommend to buy the product. I had Liftmaster installed later, the gate has been working smoothly

All in all a very good unit. Just a lot of very small wires to work with. Making installation a littel tiresome. But after Getting it installed works perfectly.
