SR SUN RISE Black Square Rainfall Shower Head and Handle Set, Wall Mounted Shower Fixtures, Metal Shower Faucet Trim Repair Kits (With Shower Valve)

I did a major bathroom renovation where I added a walk-in shower. I knew that I wanted a rainfall shower and wanted a wand. I looked at tons of shower systems but either I didn't like the looks or it was way too expensive. I finally found this shower system and it was exactly what I pictured and the price is great. It seems to be really well made (solid and heavy, no plastic parts). Packaging is efficient and they provide you with extra washers and parts (and even white gloves to wear so you don't get fingerprints on it when installing). I will warn you that you need to pay attention to the specs of the rough out plumbing. The drop ear elbow needs to be slightly recessed from the finished tile. This caused a problem with the installation. My contractor didn't pay attention to that detail, and after the tile was on, the drop ear elbows to supply the shower head and wand were too deep to accommodate the SR Sun Rise fittings. This could have been an expensive problem, and after trying and failing at several solutions, I ended emailing customer support. I explained the problems of the fittings being too far in and also told them that the contractor rounded over a brass fitting that he tried to force in. I asked if they had any suggestions about how to deal with the supply fittings that were too deep in the wall. I was extremely pleased with how my problem was handled. They sent out not only a replacement brass fitting, but they sent me out two brass extensions to solve the problem of the fittings being too far recessed. I was able to install the shower myself using the extensions they sent. I emailed customer support on a Saturday (6/15) and received the extensions and brass fittings on Monday morning 6/24. They solved my problem, did it quickly, and didn't charge me for the extra fittings. That's great customer service. Bottom line, this is a really nice shower system, seems to be well made, is beautiful and functional, at a great price, with excellent customer service. I highly recommend. Just make sure your supply fittings (the drop ear elbow) is installed at the proper depth before tiling.

We purchased this shower in brushed nickel, and it looks fantastic—very sleek, modern, and high-end. It instantly upgraded the overall look of our bathroom. One of the main reasons we chose this brand was the build quality. It’s made entirely of solid brass, which gives us confidence that it will last a long time and resist rust and corrosion. That durability really stood out compared to other options. The shower head features silicone nozzles, which are super easy to clean—just a quick wipe and they’re good as new. Maintenance is minimal, which is a big plus. It is versatile and it is very easy to switch from shower to handle. The water pressure is excellent (I included a video to show it in action), making the shower experience even better. We’ve been so impressed that we’re already planning to purchase another one for our second bathroom.

We purchased this Square Rainfall Shower head with a hand held spray head, based on the positive reviews and the exceptional pricing. When we received it...... WOW, even better than we could have expected. This thing is built like a tank, and beautiful. This is the best looking shower combo we have ever seen, it puts all the kits we have looked at in all the major home improvement centers we have visited to shame! The price also put them to shame, $168 vs. $300 - $600, for the same type offering, give me a break! Two things we took notice of in the reviews; 1.) The complaint of hammering pipes! So to head off that possible problem, we installed a 2-Pack of 1/2-Inch Straight Male Sweat Copper Water Hammer Arrestor. We installed these even though in the description it stats "The pressure balance valve has built-in two check valves to effectively eliminate water hammer noise." Better safe than sorry, and it's a $20 insurance policy! 2.) The reversed water temperature handle! The cold, when turning to the left, and hot, when turning to the right. We have always seen the reverse, in every situation, whether it be a Hotel or the simple one handle shower valve. Always turn to the left for hot and to the right or the cold. If I'm wrong then the valve is correct. Well, I install is and sure enough, my wife turned the handle to the left expecting hot water and, YES it was cold, a verified complaint. So I reversed the piping so the hot water supply line now goes to the valves "COLD" inlet, and the cold supply line now goes to the valves "HOT" inlet. I think it's now correct but, more important, the wife is happy, so the law has been laid down! I think I covered the negative reviews that concerned me, as for the black paint coming off, I purchased the Brushed Nickel kit, so that won't be a problem! This thing is amazing, built better than any system I've ever seen. Packaged like a Kings Crown, so skillfully, that even UPS couldn't damage it, and I've seen packages where they have succeeded! And Customer service, it was excellent, also better than expected. The install was easy (except for reversing the supply lines, and installing the arrestors). We installed this in a bath tub conversion, to a tiled shower, and it looks magnificent! Don't be put off by any of the negative reviews. I'm sure some of them are completely absurd, reading like they were installing someone else shower kit. And others that may have other problems that may need fixing, or they are just dated. Either way, I believe you won't be sorry if you decide to purchase this shower kit, we absolutely LOVE IT! I never leave reviews but this one warrants a review because of the excellent customer service in replacing the shower head and arm at no cost and fast service and delivery. The product is of high quality and heavy and very beautiful. The color is gorgeous and it looks awesome in my new bathroom. If you are in the market, this is an excellent choice!!

This kit is very high quality. Unlike most modern faucet sets, this thing is made of solid metal, not chrome-plated plastic. It's heavy brass with a thick chrome plating. And it's packed like jewelry. Each piece is individually wrapped in a felt bag and lovingly placed in a custom-made foam-lined box. It includes all the parts and tools needed for installation and repair. (Allen wrenches, pipe plugs, 10 extra O-rings, wall anchors, and a large roll of teflon tape.) And for a final touch, they include a pair of white cotton gloves for the installer! The valves operates smoothly. It's pressure-compensated so it won't scald you if somebody flushes a toilet. The hand wand is easy to manipulate. The overhead "rain head" puts forth a pleasant shower of warm droplets. It's quite nice. I've owned a fair amount of real estate over the years, so I've been the owner of about 100 shower sets. This is my favorite. Best made, best looking, best operation. UPDATE 2020-05-24: I've purchased and installed 8 more of these shower sets. (See attached photos if you're curious.) I've noticed a problem with some of the recent sets -- I've been seeing leakage from the bracket for the handheld wand. That bracket is actually made of two parts -- a threaded brass nipple that screws into the water supply, and a chrome-plated bracket that slides onto the nipple and tightens with a couple of set screws. The leak occurs where the nipple enters the chrome bracket. Water leaks past some O-rings and comes out behind the chrome bracket. (It looks like the nipple and O-rings are undersized for the bracket.) Unfortunately, that water may dribble inside your wall. That's not good. I've handled the problem when it occurred by wrapping the nipple with 12-16 layers of teflon tape to stop the leak. But if you're not careful to inspect for leaks at installation time, you probably don't know whether you have this problem. Not until you start seeing water damage, anyway. UPDATE 2021-06-01: When installing the drop ear elbow for the shower head, take care to level it and mount it firmly. It needs to support a long metal arm that will sag if the elbow isn't mounted securely. If you don't understand these sentences, I suggest that you consult with a plumber.

I am a general contractor and have bought two of these now. If you walk into any box store and buy shower system you'll get plastic. Even the expensive models are cheap plastic. Not this thing! It is aluminum and brass! This is a solid, quality unit with some weight to it. The water presser is excellent and does not dribble water on you, this thing pours down and feels amazing! Even the sprayer has great pressure. The look is sleek, modern and works well in the higher end showers. The price point is amazing! the caveat: #1 The holes on the mixer valve cover plate on my first unit did not align with the stems of the mixer valve itself. It did not fit. They were punched wrong during manufacturing. This was really disappointing. The redemption: I emailed the company at 7PM my time figuring that they would get back to me in a day or two, but no! about 15 minutes later I had a response. They asked for further information and a picture of the issue and I got right back to them with that request. When I got up the next morning there was an email from them telling me that they shipped out another plate to me. Not only did they ship it out it was on my doorstep the following day! This is huge in my book! Yes there was an issue but they were lighting fast at fixing the issue. #2 The hot and cold on these are reversed, at least from we are used to in the U.S. In the United State we turn the knobs counter clockwise to turn up the heat. This is opposite. I don't know if this is different in other countries so it's hard to ding them on this one. It was slightly frustrating but I just switched the hot and cold around. So if you are used to turning your handle counter clockwise to get hot water, let your plumber know to reverse the lines.

Very disappointed with this product. It is totally different from the picture and there are no brand names at all. The quality is extremely low. The tap was not even mentioned in the description, but they sent one anyway and it is very cheap quality. Some items are acceptable, but others are very bad. It really looks like they mixed random low quality items together. I do not recommend this product.

Short, broken shower and bad craftsmanship

My plumber just installed this shower. He asked what I'd spent on it then, when he picked himself up off the floor, commented that he assumed I'd spent at least $2000. What a beautiful gentle rain shower. I couldn't be happier.
