Will this work on Caran d'Ache pastel pencils?

I checked after I responded to your question. Here's what the manufacturer's site says: Do not try to sharpen crayons, chalk or soft charcoal pencils because they will clog the cutter. I would think the Caran D'Ache pencils would fall under this exclusion.

Will this sharpen carpenter pens?
