Twinkle Star Garden Hose Filter, Inline Water Hose Filter Attachment

Although this states it's for a garden hose or pressure washer, I saw other reviewers using it for the same purpose that I did. Our well gets varying levels of sediment depending on the water table and time of year...we got sick of cleaning the sediment screen on our washing machine every load and looked for work arounds. This exceeded my expectations. We typically have 6-8 loads of wash to do at a time, and this made it through our entire laundry day routine with no issues. You have no idea the joy something so stupidly simple brings us! Per the instructions - we turn off the water supply between wash days to prevent damage to the filter, and clean it and allow to dry afterwards as well. The only issue we had was a small leak, but we fixed that with some plumber's tape on the threads.

So glad I bought two of these for front and back works extremely well catches all the sediment from the street water source and doesn’t clog out my main screen and my drip.

This filter has lasted 2 years in the sun every single day through the cold in the winters given it doesn't get horribly cold here in Kentucky but we have had below zero and we've had snow and with all of mother nature beating on it year round on top of being the filter that filters water into my tank on my pressure washing rig it lasted it held up for two years from purchase date and it finally cracked at the base not enough that it could not be used but I did use it for the rest of my working season until mid-December before ordering it. Please don't mind my grammar, I don't like wasting the time of leaving a review as is.

Very effective if you have a well for your water supply and if the outside faucets are independent of the house filtration system. We use a lot of water for our yard, and this filter helps us save money by by-passing our softener and whole-house filter for landscaping needs. Kind of tricky to get the wire screen positioned correctly to get a good seal to the hose but it's workable.

PLEASE do not buy this if you are using this indoors. My experience was just like some of the other reviews here, I loved it at first! For about 5 months it worked very well and cleaned up the sediment on the way to my washing machine. And then I woke up at 3: 00 AM in the morning to hear a fountain. Water was spraying OUT OF THE BOTTOM! There is no movement here where I had the filter installed at all , this only happened under normal water pressure. Screwing this in tighter will not fix the problem, that's what I thought at first. Now I have to deal with serious water damage! There is manufacturing issues with this product.

Works as required - maybe too small if you have water issues No leaks Not an alternative for full-time RV but more of a remove any debris when filling a holding tank etc. Got about 6 months of filter life before showing signs of rust or brownish color till in use today

As advertised. Been using this one on our washer hose for years. We are on a well and get grit that clog the washer valves. Has to replace because I dropped the bowl and it hit just right to Crack. Easy clean and been a life saver for the washer.

Ordered this twice, the second one just broke. Used this for a drip irrigation system in the garden. Last season I left it out over the winter and come spring the clear plastic cup had cracked. Ice expands, so I figured it was my fault and ordered a second. It's the middle of August now and I just came home to a fountain of water spraying out of the filter. It developed a hairline crack right along the bottom, and I don't blame myself this time. I'll be ordering a third to finish out the season (at least it's only $14), but will be replacing it with something more reliable next year. For now I'm going to see if I can repair this one with some UV cure superglue.

Filter as described. Ready to use when received, simply attach to the water source and to the hose. The clear sediment bowl makes it easy to see if sediment is accumulating. When disconnected it is easy to drain.
