Amazon Fresh, Classic Potato Chips, 11 Oz (Previously Happy Belly, Packaging May Vary)

Potato chips are really unremarkable. Potatoes sliced, deep fried and salted. Somehow some manufacturers find a way to mess this up, not. Amazon fresh. These chips are just as good as the brand name potato chips at a much lower price. I agree with some reviewers, the handling of these chips is sub par. My two bag chip order arrived in a grocery bag with bananas, a container of salsa and a big bottle of nasal spray. Total lack of care in handling. Opening the bag up, the chips were crushed. I don’t mind a few crushed, this allows for volume chip eating as you can see in a few photos. Upon inspection though, I am wondering if the bag of chips started with big whole chips in the first place. The amount of chip pieces doesn’t add up to the amount of chips. There are way more pieces that if you put them together would result in more whole chips. A conundrum for sure. The bag of chips is about 50% air. You can see in the photo where the unopened bag is crinkled is 50% of the bag. All that said, I love potato chips. I love them with salsa, hummus, bean dip, onion dip, plain, with sliced cheese and of course when they are all crushed, I love them on top of a casserole. They don’t have a bunch of chemical ingredients as well. These chips are very good. The right salty, starchy, crunchy snack that makes potato chips awesome. I will order again and again. Awesome.

At least 5 star rating!! Best generic or house brand chip I’ve eaten and better than the lion’s share of national or otherwise premium chips. Fresh as can be. PERFECTLY SALTED!! My wife likes hers slightly less, I like mine a little more salty than most : THIS HITS THE PERFECT I MEAN GENUINELY PERFECT LEVEL OF SALTINESS!! WOWZA!! Crunch is perfect! This entry-level style of chip across all manufacturers for whatever reason gives the sensation of being somewhat greasier than other varieties by the various manufacturers. Given that, this is markedly less greasy than most. THESE CHIPS I WILL BUY AGAIN & SUGGEST WITHOUT RESERVATION THAT you purchase them. They are really really good. Chip size is consistent and bigger than most. They hold up ok to dipping not quite as good a their wavy style. In summary: tastes marvelous; price fair and competitive; availability: fantastic. YA GOTTA BUY SOME !!!

Tasty Chips, but not as good as Lays Classic. Would still buy again at this price.

Good but greasy. Tastes great with cheese dip. Pairs well with sandwiches like bbq and pimento cheese.

Good orice

I like the chips and they're lower in sodium than most. They're crispy, and taste fresh. I like them as a small snack. I measure them out in 1oz portions because I need to watch my sodium. They are great with sour cream, onion and garlic powder. The come out like sour cream and onion chips. The main downside is that many are broken into small pieces and some are crushed. This is why I can only give them 3 stars.

Loved them

Let me admit right off the bat that I'm a die-hard Lay's Classic potato chip lover, but after reading a lot of these reviews, I thought, why not? Why not try this brand? So I did. My first chip was much thicker than a typical Lay's chip, but that turned out to be a fluke--the remainder of the chips were thinner, more consistent with what I'm used to, and what I prefer. They're not quite salty enough for my taste, but one can always sprinkle salt in the bag if desired, so I'm not docking it for that. The taste is pretty good, except for one thing: there's a distinct aftertaste that is a tiny bit unpleasant. It's hard to describe in words. It's not like a *terrible* or *disgusting* aftertaste at all, it's just THERE. It kind of reminds me of oil that isn't as fresh as it should be... I don't know. Perhaps the oil they're using is different from Lay's and just tastes off to me. I must add that the aftertaste went away very quickly after I stopped eating, so it's not like it lingered for hours or anything like that! The bottom line for me is that these chips are a very good alternative to Lay's Classic, but I can't give them 5 stars. Their taste isn't as potato-y as Lay's, and that aftertaste is a definite issue. It's possible I simply got a bad batch, and mine tasted different than they normally should. But I'm going to stick with Lay's because I really prefer them; however, in a pinch, I'd gladly buy more of these.
