You can't beat real springs!
First of all, the seat arrived a day early with no damage and was packaged well. Kudos to the seller! I'm over 60 years old and wanting to get back into cycling, haven't ridden in almost 20 years. I have an older MTN crossover bike with no suspension and wanted a new seat that would smooth out the bumps better without looking like an old John Deere tractor seat. Tried a more modern design with really thick gel cushion in the seat that had the rubber bumpers in place of the good old fashioned coil springs, it was actually very uncomfortable and had very stiff shock absorption on a dirt road... returned it and decided to take a chance on this Cloud-9 Cruiser even though it cost more. The C-9 seat is a little smaller and lighter than the other one I returned and looks to be built to last, it has a lot of steel with the big coil springs for suspension and small springs laterally under the seat cushion for comfort. I have only gone for a few rides and so far it has been very comfortable without making me saddle sore at all. Best of all it is not aggravating my lower back.

so that doesnt mean its a bad seat or bad quality
not a fan of this seat. bike seats fit everyone different, so that doesnt mean its a bad seat or bad quality. The seat is REALLY hard, you have to weigh 250 + i imagine to get the gel to squeeze. I'm 195 lbs and it doesnt budge. There are springs hooked to the middle of the seat which adds to suspension but problem is they squeak so much that if i'm not wearing headphones i cant take it. This is a cruiser seat. not hybrid or anything else. give it a try. i returned mine but a different but similar seat. Enjoy!

Started very hard, but got better
This saddle was on the hard (and expensive) side when I first got it -- but it feels like it will hold up well over time. My bike has been in the rain a couple of times, and the saddle handled it just fine! It actually helped make it slightly softer, but didn't seem to impact the durability. I've purchased a couple of expensive after-market saddles, and felt this was worth the money.

Not as wide as described ( only 9 inches - described as 9.75 inches ). I returned to purchase a wider seat.

Very good quality. Also has a nice large size
If you are a big person, or just have tired old bones, of which I resemble both, this is your seat. Lots of gel foam. The base is made of spring not stamped metal. Very good quality. Also has a nice large size.

The seat that came on my bike originally was horrible! After a 35 mile road ride my bottom was so sore I could barely sit down. I have been 30 miles on this seat and so far, I've has no issues. I love the springs on the seat, they take the road shock beautifully. This seat is just big enough to fit properly, but no too big that it causes rubbing issues. The seat assembly is high, so I had to adjust my seat post to a lower position. Fortunately this was not an issue on my Trek DS.
