Striking the perfect balance between I/O connectivity and portability, The USB-C equipped UR44C is a flexible and powerfully featured USB 3. 0 audio interface that provides all the capabilities needed for a huge range of recording and production situations. Four D-PRE mic preamps, six inputs and four output channels work with 32-bit/192 kHz audio resolution to deliver pristine sound, along with MIDI I/O ports, onboard DSP processing and the ability to be powered by USB-C equipped Mac and Windows computers as well as iPad Pro. Together they provide an exceptional solution, equally suited to personal studios, rehearsal spaces, mobile recording situations and home recording environments. Review: Great Interface and hopefully worth the switch - I used the Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3rd Gen for 3 years. It is a good interface but in my opinion not really value for money. I recently moved to the Steinberg UR22C and I feel this will treat me better. The volume control feels smooth and precise and the overall functionality is straightforward without being complicated. In terms of audio quality the preamps sound clean and transparent and the monitoring with dspMixFx is very handy. Build quality is excellent with a solid metal body that feels durable and reliable. What I like most is the value for money compared to my older interface. For the price it delivers excellent performance without cutting corners. Overall quality is impressive and it feels like a professional tool in a compact form. I will update this review later after more extended use but so far I am very happy with the UR22C. Review: Quality assurance - “A must-have for anyone recording at home.” I was skeptical at first, but this interface made a huge difference in the clarity of my recordings. Drivers are stable, the design is sleek, and it integrates perfectly with my setup. Would absolutely buy again.

Good quality product. Sturdy chassis
The box is nice and rugged metal body. The Preamps are nice and clean with very low noise . The onboard DSP is nice . It also works on standalone with power adapter provided in the box. The DSP software is also amazing you can route the audio to various outs and the output quality is amazing. The compressor and the parametric EQ also works fantastic. It’s probably an underrated product everyone only talks about the Scarlett it’s over rated . I have used them and also MAudio and Apogee duet (2008) . This one is best for the price . Apogee is super clean with with high end quality preamps but it’s expensive. Steinberg with Yamaha and their product is very good and superior for the price. I would recommend it.

I chose this one because it's one of the few interfaces that has a native Mix knob, similar to the M-Audio interface I had for 10 years. 4.5 months later, it picks and chooses when it wants to boot with rest of the peripherals. I've done the usual checks (drivers, cables, USB ports, etc.) and it still just kicks on whenever it's good and ready. Works fine otherwise, but I can't operate like this for much longer.

32-bit & 192kHz across all 6 inputs for a reasonable price. This helps record every ultrasonic nuance of microphones and instruments with higher fidelity. Before Steinberg, I was using a combo of virtual audio cable software and separate USB MIDI inputs, but they do not work very well in music production. Multiple USB audio interfaces nowadays for instruments like the TR-8S just don't mesh together well for recording internally in a PC. This is all why I decided to go for MIDI (USB & DIN) & Line Audio when producing music. Easy with the Steinberg UR44C. A lot of people here mention the software: The Yamaha/Steinberg ASIO drivers on the Steinberg website are an easy install in Windows 11, and work flawlessly in any major DAW. I use a few like FL Studio and Ableton Live 12. Great! HOWEVER, the other Steinberg-included software like dspMixFx have e-Licenser requirements that I refuse to clutter my music PC with. Those softwares are useless with a basic DAW with basic plugins, anyway. During install there is an option to select only the Yamaha / Steinberg driver.
