A great value.
While you can spend hundreds of dollars on scroll saw and I'm sure the saying is true "you get what you pay for" I will say in this case you get aloy more than the $100 price tag. I have completed three seperate projects and there were ZERO problems.

Very Easy and Intuitive Tool
Has very nice speed adjustment features and onboard blade storage, Includes a flex light which is very helpful as well as a dust blower. Perfect for small and curved cuts in wood.

Skil Scroll saw
The saw works great. The only thing I couldn't understand is if it was supposed to be new, why when I took it out of the box di it have a big scratch down the side of the upper arm? It's only cosmetic and cosmetic is not what gets the job done. Other than that I find the saw is awesome. Thanks, David Hill

Works Great
Most time it runs like a sewing machine but on occasion it acts as if the motor is start/stopping. Unless something goes wrong later this is great. It does what I want it to do with less noise and vibration than I expected. It also arrived five days sooner than I expected.

Very Dissatisfied
Very Dissatisfied. I only used it for one project and the saw began falling apart. Because of the extreme vibrations (see other reviews regarding this), the bolts and fasteners began comping apart, which suggests a haphazard assembly from the manufacturer. Also, the main rotating arm underneath the base-plate would hit a bolt within the saw. There was no getting around it unless I removed the bolt itself. This seemed to be a clear design flaw. I have never given a negative review of an Amazon product. This is my first.

Okay but breaks easily
The blades are held in by upper and lower blade holders. Within 5 hours of use, the upper blade holder snapped in half and there is not way to repair it. Looked on several parts outlet site (including Skil) and cannot find a one that correctly identifies the part nor sells any assembly to replace the entire section. $120 down the drain. Other than that, it seems to work okay.

Skil 16" Scroll Saw
I am a beginner at scroll sawing and this is perfect for that. Although the listing says it will take pinless blades, it works better with pin blades because the pinless blades don't stay in place very well.
