Tasty and easy to prepare
My cardiologist would be shocked that I eat this. I've tried most brands, and watched several YouTube ratings videos, and this is as good as any canned corned beef. The way it is processed makes it less likely to hold together, so its best for hash and omelets rather than sandwiches. A lot of reviewers complain about the lack of a key to open the can. Amazon sent me four cans, one with a key, so I take the metal strip off the key and re-use it. Careful, the strip is sharp. I would have used needle nose pliers had I not been provided a key. At the price, it seems like the best value.

Great taste, falls apart
I bought three different kinds of corned beef in one order to compare the products. This is really comparable to Lxxx’s version, BUT IT TASTES SALTIER than most canned corned beef marketed by US companies. It is a product from Uruguay. I prefer the saltier flavor, but it falls apart when being sliced for sandwiches. And it comes apart in the pan when being heated to go onto sandwiches. Price is reasonable, about 20% less than what it costs here in Alaska…when you can find it here in Alaska. After I try the other brand, I will review it as well.

It tastes like real corned beef!
Tastes just like real corned beef. It's the best canned one I have tried. It's not too salty or really fatty like other brands that I have tried. I make corned beef hash quite often with it. Sautee it with potatoes, onions and serve with poached eggs on top. We love corned beef hash and who has the time to simmer corned beef for hours in the kitchen. I have also made reuben sandwiches with sauerkraut, russian dressing and melted swiss cheese. You can't beat real corned beef but the taste of this product is real close. I even tried mixing it together with leftover hard boiled eggs (from Easter) added some mayo, celery and made corned beef egg salad, it came out really tasty. If you are a person that likes canned meats from time to time try this brand---- I think it's the best, purchased it several times already. Just a tip---don't use the key to open the can, it's much easier to use one of those new hand held can openers that just goes around the entire lid and you can pull the lid off easily. Then loosen the meat all around with a dull butter knife and the entire piece of corned beef comes out in one piece so you are able to slice it.

Cans impossible to open
Of course it helps if they come with a 'key' you use to wind to open the can. None of my cans had keys. I salvaged one from a different brand I had ... but the metal broke after only 1/2 inch of opening. Had to use a knife to hack my way in. The product itself was ok, and this was a good price. Maybe that's the deal ... they charge extra for an opening key. Sort of a 'batteries not included' deal. ;) UPDATE: ordered 4 more. At least two came with keys. Cans look pretty ragged, dents and scrapes. But ... product seems ok. IF I can manage to get them open. Kinda like opening battle rations with a 'John Wayne' opener, for any who know what I'm talking about. I'm saving all keys for the future.

Rusted dirty cans
I don’t feel comfortable eating these as the cans are rusted and dirty. They seem like items that has given away as disaster relief or even recall. I ordered 5 and only one came with the key. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering as many others have the same issues. These cans look like they went through a lot of ordeal. Buy at your own risk.
