APS Running Boards Bars Compatible with Ram 1500 2009-2018 Crew Cab 5.5ft Short Bed & Ram 2500 3500 2010-2024 (Black Powder Coated 6 inches Wheel to Wheel)

I searched for several weeks, before purchasing these running boards.I finally ordered these running boards, for my new 2019 Ram 3500, Crew Cab, 4x4, Long Bed, Dually.I wanted something longer than just the cab, but with the dually, I did not really want wheel to wheel.I ordered the 5" w2w for the 6.5 ft bed.It fits like it was custom made for the long bed dually.And, this was really the ONLY running boards that are designed more as a universal fit.Because the board itself has fully adjustable tracks, as long as the mounting hardware is correct for your vehicle, these boards will fit anything you want to put them on.Additionally, the mounting hardware is very thick, heavy gauge steel.It is much thicker and sturdier than most of the other running boards I've seen.I would recommend these boards to anyone.They are great!I just added 5 photos.Remember that the boards I bought were for a crew cab with 6.5 foot bed, but I put them on a crew cab with 8 foot dually.This is the result.

After doing some research into these running/nerf boards, especially on installation and durability, I figured id give it a try. Take It into account thought that these are Chinese made. I definitely found that out after one of the screws broke inside the threads of my truck (2016 ram 1500 crew cab 5.5ft bed). To be fair I was torquing it in with a ratchet so I may have put uneven pressure on the bolt. Regardless of that a bolt meant to support the weight shouldn’t pop by the force of my hand.I took it to a near by shop and the mechanic explained that bolts ( especially painted/powder coated ones) should have the threads cleaned out before Installation to help smooth out the edges. They took out and replaced the busted bolt and did the complete installation.Came out great!! Looks good and cuz its aluminum I know it wont add extra weight to the vehicle.If you have a car lift and a impact gun this can be assembled in about 30-40 min. Otherwise play it safe and take it to a local shop.P.s. im about 6’1”, 260 lbs and after install I stood on the boards and basically jumped on them a bit. No wobbling so far.

The boards arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. The instructions leave a bit to be desired but it's not rocket science. They mounted into existing holes on the inside of my rocker panels (2019 Ram 3500 C/C) and are fairly sturdy although there is some flex due to the rocker mounting point. I'd have given 5 stars if they had the same brace on the passenger side as they do on the driver's side (front brace stiffener) and would also like them to go further under the truck to give more rocker panel protection from rocks. All in all a good set of running boards that look good and do the intended job well

I'm writing this review because these side steps are pretty expensive and are quite a bit of work to install. The final outcome came out great and I am very pleased with them. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to install but I will admit I did not hurry. I gave this steps a 4 star rating because of the Cons listed below.Pluses: looks great most everything in the box can be installed with basic toolsCons: Some lock washers were missing causing a trip to the hardware store. 2 braces were mislabeled but I realized I just needing to trade them to the opposite side. The bolt bracket that mounts to the inside of the trucks rocker panel is pretty tricky to install. Without the video I would of had a big problem mounting these brackets.Biggest suggestion I have is watch the You tube video showing the installation. I really didn't use the instructions after watching this video!

Installation went good, after I figured out which hardware to use. The bags of hardware are not labeled, and some model years use different hardware supplied. Instructions are confusing, you pretty much look at pictures and figure it out. The written steps are conflicting and excessive. Yutube video by an owner was better than provided instructions. Wife loves them, since she doesn't have to use gymnastics to get in and out.

These running boards were super easy to install and look really great on my new Ram 2500. The hardware was well packaged, covered with a good coating of black paint and all pieces were accounted for in the inventory listing. Now my wife can get in and out of the truck much more easily. Solid boards on my 2014 Ram 1500 Express. Was a bit of a pain to install but I dont think that’s due to the model or design, just having to match up the billion screws/washers/nuts correctly and set them up in a way that makes the process easier took the most time. Putting on boards without a lift or something is just simply going to be a decent pain for anyone who doesn’t crawl on the ground a lot.

I ordered this and discovered it was the wrong model for my truck. Seemed like a great product, and I am waiting for my return to process so I can order the correct model. A 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 is actually a 2008 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 Gen 3 body. They went to Gen 4 body in 2010 for the 2500 and 3500. The Amazon ordering guide didn't realize this, and neither did I at the time.

the only thing i don't like it that they don't have any grip and because they don't have a solid surface we cannot add grip to them. we bought these because im pregnant and it was getting hard to get into the truck but now that its winter and they get slushy and icy i find myself not using them as they are extremely slippery...there should actually be a huge warning posted about that somewhere within the sellers post and the package.

They fit my 2017 Dodge Ram ok, they are not centre in the box and look off. Also the foot step is really thin and the brackets stand out more than the step, not as clean and nice as shown in the picture. The worst part is that the brackets have rusted really bad after 3 months on the truck. They really look cheap and bad on the truck, I will replace them asap.

It’s a good thing it’s easy to install if your handy the instruction booklet is a printout not even the pages are in order, let’s just say IKEA has Easier instructions. But the product is what I expected it to be and serves the purpose it’s supposed to.

There were lots of missing screws and bolts. Had to make 5 trips to homedepot to get everything going required. They were difficult to install.

Paint did not last two months before rusting through .Would not recommend this product.The only reason for one star is the running board them selfs are not bad
