It's exactly like my15 year old S-530 mouse. I feel right at home with it.
This mouse is exactly the same as the one which came with my aging S-530 Desktop for Macs.I have loved the old mouse's versatility and am happy to find this duplicate. The colors aredifferent from the old white mouse, but that's no big deal. This mouse comes with a receiver and batteries. I'm not presently using the receiver. My older receiver sees the mousejust fine, and the mouse picked up the settings from Logitec's Control Center software. (that's another whole issue ..Control Center has been flaky from day 1) The mouse works flawlessly and as expected. It's nice to havea fresh device. The scroll wheel actually clicks audibly! I'm also not using the batteries that came with the mouse. They had leaked and the battery fluid had come throughthe plastic wrapper which was around the batteries. Happily, no damage was done to anything else in the box bythe battery leak. NOTE TO SELLER; you might want to check other units, if you have any. It would be a shame to havea battery leak ruin the rest of an excellent product.

What more can you ask for?
I purchased the MX600 as a replacement for the mouse that came with a MX3200 keyboard/mouse combo I purchased last year. Let's just call the reason I needed a replacement "user error." No fault of the device.By the way, Logitech support told me this mouse would not work with the receiver from my MX3200 combo. They were wrong. Their own product description says the combo comes with the MX600.I love this mouse! It's the most accurate mouse I've used and the on-screen motion is very smooth. It's comfortable enough that use it at the office all day and on my home computer. I use it without a mouse pad on a light wood grain desk. I've found that after the battery indicator begins to illuminate it keeps going quite a bit longer--the one at work has been nagging me to change the battery for over a week and it's still going.

Great mouse
Looking for a mouse with extra buttons ..this logitech provides 5 extra buttons...two on the left side and two on three on the upper left side for plus zoom and minus zoom and reset..although you can repogram them to do other tasks. Go to logitech.com and if you are on a 64bit windows vista, 7 or 8 get these drivers to work with mouse setpoint650_x64.exe or just google "setpoint650_x64.exe" without quotes...that is for 64bit OS, if you need 32bit OS drivers google for setpoint650_x32.exe

Still a great mouse with 4 additional buttons in addition to the ...
I have had this mouse for years, and the left button started wearing out and clicking twice so bought it again here. Still a great mouse with 4 additional buttons in addition to the normal 2 buttons programmable to whatever you want. It uses the Logitech Setpoint software with good features.

Perfect mouse!
I bought the same mouse with a Keyboard combo years ago and I use the mouse at work. My home mouse died and I had to have this one. It works great. The browser foward and back buttons, zoom in/out and a reset zoom, and side to side scroller is great.Would buy it again in a second.

Great looks, great feel, if only it wasn't so loud...
I bought this mouse as part of a desktop package (mx 3200). The keyboard is fine but the scroll wheel on the mouse is to loud, especially on the upward scrolling motion, and therefore distracting. In comparison, my $10 wired laser mouse is 'squeek' free.

Great Mouse with Minor Flaws
I use this mouse daily (and have used it for at least 1 year at this point).I continue to use it because it has a great shape, is comfortable, and the extra buttons are great. If you download and install the software from Logitech, you get many options for customizing the mouse and the extra buttons. I use the two buttons on the side (just above the thumb) as Page Up/Down buttons, to make it easy to scroll up and down on documents and websites (but you can make those buttons do a variety of things). My Logitech software gives me an on-screen heads up when the battery is running low, so I can recharge the batteries at the end of the day, and be good to go the next day (batteries last several months). The only things I don't like about this mouse are:-Too heavy-Battery seems to die quick (but I use rechargeables, so that may be why)-No on/off button for conserving battery while traveling or non-use-USB connector is big (size of an average flash drive)I recommend this mouse as a home/office mouse if you can find it at the right price (I definitely would not pay the current prices which are over $100).However, if you are looking for something smaller or lighter to take with you in a laptop bag, I would recommend the full-sized M310:ย Logitech Wireless Mouse M310 (Silver) ย or the smaller M185:ย Logitech Wireless Mouse M185 - Swift Gray (910-002225) .Both use the same, smaller unifying USB receiver, and both have an On/Off switch to save battery (although they do not have the extra buttons that the MX600 has).
