this drive is honestly great and i have been using it constantly with zero issues. the metal build feels way more durable than those flimsy plastic drives that snap if you look at them wrong, and it does not get hot even after transferring files for a while. usb 3.0 speeds are noticeably faster than my older drives and it makes moving big files around way less painful. the little loop at the end is perfect for attaching to your keychain so you always have it on you. really solid product for the price.

This can prepare you for unforeseen situations when you need to have a storage device. The second is storage space and data transfer speed. With 32 GB of storage you can easily store all your personal files on this drive and do so quickly with a 150 MB/s transfer rate. The downside to this is if you want to keep program files. 32 GB will not be a sufficient size for this and I would recommend the 128 GB version. The third aspect of this device is the durability. If you constantly have this product on you it will be subject to everyday hazards. This includes temperature variances, weather, and dropping the device. Any one of these can ruin a piece of technology and cause one to lose all of their information. I have subjected this product to a variety of elements and never had any issues with it. Lastly, the best part of this product is the price at $13.99. This is a cheap price that is marketable for everyone. Solid State devices will cost 10x this price tag and physical external hard drives carry a higher risk with the potential to lose data if mishandled. It's big project deadline time, and you're trying to transfer large files back and forth; you can't be stuck with USB 2.0 speeds (a decade old technology), you need a fast flash drive. This is the USB 3.0 flash drive you're looking for. There are so many different designs for flash/thumb drives out there; there's something for everyone. I wanted something that looked solid and simple, was reliable, and fast. This was it. Here's why: • The one piece body feels solid, but lightweight, and looks gorgeous • There is no cap to lose, and the USB end is sturdy enough to stand up to heavy use • The little hole can be used to attach to a key ring if necessary *** NOTE *** Please be aware that this drive is capable of USB 3.0 transfer speeds of "up to 130MB/s". You will only get this speed if the computer you are attaching it to also has USB 3.0, otherwise it is backwards-compatible and will reduce to USB 2.0 speeds. You can tell if it's USB 3.0 if the inside port is a blue plastic, or if the port is labelled "SS" (SuperSpeed). The design looks like it could've been built by aliens [see photos]. It's so simple, yet just works. It's solidly-built, with no small pieces to lose, and big and shiny enough to be visible, and is blazingly fast. Recommended.

Sometimes, you don't need vast capacity; in fact, sometimes it makes sense to choose capacity based upon purpose. In my case, I needed something reasonably fast and reliable to store an .iso copy of the dreaded Windows 10--Snooper's Edition. The manufacturer suggested 16GB, but I decided to do one better, given how bloated the OS even after removing the crapware. The strategy behind this is that once any storage device nears its capacity limit, its read and write speeds are hobbled; therefore, if I need 16GB (which is generous in the first place), then 32GB is more than sufficient to prevent a total slowdown, yet is not wasteful, since you can't store anything else but the OS on that drive. When I did the transfer, it was a relatively quick process (my new machine is a beast, btw). Unlike other reviewers here, I didn't experience any marked change in temperature on the outside case--it got mildly (barely noticeable) warm. I do, however, have two relatively small issues with the device: 1. Form factor. It's much tinier than it seems in the picture; therefore, some big lout like me with ham fists and sausage-like fingers experiences a bit of a challenge in handling it--you may as well ask a bull to hold on to a Tic-Tac; 2. Once you connect to a USB port, it's there for the duration. When I tried to remove it, the drive gripped the port like a politician holding on to PAC money (they can't ALL be winners, OK?). Overall, however, this is a solid, functional and--despite its Lilliputian dimensions, attractive unit.

I absolutely LOVE this USB thumb drive from Samsung! I needed a new thumb drive to store important documents and files like my Keepass database and I came across this 32GB Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive with good reviews and a relatively cheap price so I pulled the trigger on purchasing it and I couldn't be happier with it. It's a small and sleek thumb drive that looks gorgeous and has a little weight to it so it feels good in your hands/fingers and it comes with the added benefit of having a hole so you can attach it to your keys and bring it with you anywhere like that. When it comes to speed, it is WAY faster then my older USB 2.0 drives and I was able to transfer a bunch of files and drivers to it very quickly. I also noticed that it doesn't get hot some of the other thumb drives I have. I was transferring files back and forth for close to an hour and it only got a little warm but that was it! If you're looking for a fast, nice looking, and reliable USB thumb drive then I highly recommend this Samsung flash drive!

Works just as I would hope! I needed to run a Linux Live USB (Mint 18 Cinnamon) to do some troubleshooting and work as I slowly move away from my bogged down Windows OS. I grabbed this USB 3.0 because other people were happy with it and I wanted to make sure I had something with high data transfer speeds. I installed the OS using PenDriveLinux, and just a few moments later I was booting from the USB and VERY happy with the results. A lot of people say it runs 'hot.' Mine does get warm to the touch, enough to startle me as my palm brushes past it as my hands move across the keyboard on my laptop where the USB port is right on the side. But again, this was my case after about 2 hours of regular use, not a lot of copying/moving files in the USB drive. While I do love the metallic housing for it's ruggedness (I've had plastic drives break open on me), it does leave the heat open to touch. Overall, VERY satisfied with this purchase. It didn't cost as much as I thought it would and it definitely delivered. Will consider buying this one again if I need another Linux USB

I've been a BIG fan of Sandisk for years and have used their products exclusively for years. After a recent issue with two dead drives in a row I decided to give these a shot. And I'm very glad I did. These are surprisingly well made. Small but not tiny. Designed with some obvious thought. No sliding catches or rotating covers to deal with. Throughput speeds are good. They have a bit of heft to them but aren't heavy. The weight just makes them feel like quality. VERY solid compared to all plastic and most metal drives I've seen. Two small issues: -They DO get fairly hot when doing large transfers but the (aluminum?) body dissipates the heat quickly. The heat doesn't seem to affect the operation in any way. -The "Ring" built into the unit for keychains or lanyards is in a bit of an awkward location. That and the fact there is no cover over the port end would make me hesitant to put these on a keychain. Other than those two issues I really like these. Hard to beat them for the price.

This is a fantastic little USB for keeping on your keychain. I got the metallic 128GB variant and it's very sturdy and premium feeling even though it's much much smaller than what I expected. Been using it for a month now with no scratches on the surface or the part that goes into the ports. It reads and writes fast but nowhere as fast as advertised.. The write is capped at around 10mb/s to around 45 mb/s and read is around 100 to 160. Not too disappointed as I don't transfer huge files but I use this more for school work and small files like audio files.

This USB is the best one till date that I have used. it has got blazing fast speeds and it is sealed to a whole lot of impacts. The overall design is what I loved and it really makes you admire. even with all the current problems Samsung is having it s really mind-blowing to see them producing such fine quality USB and devices. I would overall suggest the USB to anybody who wants good speed. The only thing I find is that as it is an all-metal body it gets heated very quickly and this prevents us from keeping in our hand for too long after a huge transfer,.
