It is what it is! Archival Mending Tissue!
I use this type of product while mending sheet music. It is clear and works very well, but it is sticky, you might want to take your time and be careful with the product. It's easy to stick to the paper and then if you haven't gotten it in the right location, to pull it off, is a big mistake because it will adhere to the paper and pull some of it off.

Great for using on rare documents.
This Lineco tape is a lifesaver for my old documents. I used it to fix tears in some rare papers and patch up fragile spots on blueprints before scanning. It worked like a charm invisible, strong, and didn't mess up the scanner. As a bonus, it's acid-free, so I'm not worried about long-term damage. If your into preserving old papers, this stuff is worth having around. Definitely recommend it for any DIY archiving projects.

Ok for its purpose, but not great
I find it very difficult to peel the tape from its backing. Tends to wrinkle and tear easily. Holds well an you can see through it fairly well if you have to cover up characters

Such a terrific tape to neatley mend anything of paper! π₯πβ
I could not find myself happier with this tape for it is nothing but a true gift for those who need highly reliable, yet beautiful mending tape for paper! π₯°π Not only does it mend torn book pages, it elegantly mends old sewing pattern pieces on a fragile thin paper with ease and involves no messing with a glue or tedious glue marks left behind - just remove the backing paper, place the thin, yet strong tape onto the torn part, and polish it carefully - to then have the item as new! πͺβ I used an inexpensive natural polished agate coral stone for working the tape onto the paper, and it worked wonderfully for this very purpose, no need for expensive speciality tools at all, so I would highly recommend it to everyone! π₯°π
