Is the battery case portion of this product (without the joycon grips on) compatible with the hori split pad pro controller?

It should be, without the grips it is wide open around the joycons.

does the switch lite fit this?

It can sit in there, yes, but it is not made for the lite. The top clamp will not fasten so it's not recommended

Can you use a regular switch charger to charge the powerbank on this?

Yes, I use the Nintendo branded plug to charge the dock. Hope this helps!

Is there a carrying case for this?

Sadly i didn't find one. I'm hoping hyperx makes a matching on so i we can carry both. Hyperx makes various thing for gamers just not carry cases. If you wanna know their product lines visit their web site.
