Best thing I've discovered for my shins
Long story short: These calf/shin sleeves are amazing!! They pretty much relieve the aches and pains I have in my shin whenever I jog/run. Although they haven't necessarily cured me of the shin splints, I won't run without these! With them on, I have been able to work out longer and with more intensity than I did without them when I felt the pain. I used to have really bad shin splints - definitely the kind you know you shouldn't run through. I felt like I tried almost everything, except for taping my shin. But who wants to do that every time? It's so tedious! Then I found these and they were the perfect solution. The fit is great-you'll barely feel like you're wearing anything. I have bigger calves and went with the large and they aren't too loose or too restricting. They feel perfectly sized with just enough stretch. The price is great too. Great value for the money!! The long story: I discovered them online while searching for new running shoes. A year prior I had shin splints so bad that even just walking would hurt. I tried therapy on my shins and even got orthotic insoles (that were SUPER expensive at about $350 a pair) to try to alleviate the pain. I'm flat footed so it probably adds to the stress...so I got fitted for new shoes; it all helped but not to the point where I could jog more than a quarter of a mile before the intense pain would come back. I stopped running/jogging for half a year and the pain finally went away, but as soon as I got back to exercising again, they started hurting a lot. It's definitely been better than a year before, but on a treadmill, if I was going more than a 4.5 speed (more like a speed walk or super slow jogging speed) it was already feeling too fast. The weekend I got these sleeves, I tried them on and went on the treadmill for some interval training. I was amazed to reach 6.0, then 7.0, and then 8.0 in the same day on the treadmill. It wasn't for very long (give or take a minute) but literally just a few days before that I couldn't even go past 4.5 without cringing in pain!! It was like magic! I've been a believer in compression sleeves ever since then. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who has any calf or shin issues. But for people without it too it will even help with post workout recovery or even if your legs are constantly tired from a long day of standing/walking.

These work!!!
I severly injured the shin muscles in my left leg in 2005 by being a stupid runner. Overuse with no rest days, not properly stretching, not replacing my shoes as I should... Physical therapy healed me as best as it could, but my shin would still bother me. I gave up running for good in 2008 and switched to "traditional machine" cardio (elliptical, rower, etc.) until last year, when I became tired of icing my leg every day and being in pain. Now I swim and usually don't have shin pain from my workouts. However, if I am on my feet for too long (I stand for a good portion of the day at my job) or go up and down hills or stairs (I lived on the third floor of my apartment building for the last two years; I moved to a ground floor unit two months ago) my shin let me know its displeasure. I actually had been in slight pain daily ever since the move (I packed most of my things myself and carried many items up and down the steps) and decided to try these sleeves. Even though it's usually only my left leg that bothers me, I figured wearing one on my right leg won't hurt anything. I've had them a week and WOW what a difference!! No more pain! I put them on after my swimming workout and wear them while I stretch, and then for the next half-hour as I drive home, put away my gym items, and drink my protein shake breakfast. I then put them back on again once I get to work. I've noticed, first and foremost, my leg doesn't hurt anymore! These have helped more than Advil and ice therapy. I haven't even needed Advil or my ice canister since I've been wearing these. On top of that, my legs feel fresher, and I seem to have more energy and more spring to my step. I bought a second pair so I can keep one in my gym bag and one in my work tote. They are very comfortable to wear, not hot or itchy at all. I barely even notice they are on. If anything, it feels like my legs are being gently massaged. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall and wear a size 6 pant, but I have muscular legs. According to the size chart, I was on the border between the x-small/small and the small/medium. I ordered both, and the small/medium size fit, whereas the x-small/small would barely go over my foot and ankle. If you have muscular legs or are on the border between sizes, I would encourage you to go up a size. If you have any type of shin pain, I highly recommend these! I wish I had discovered them in 2005. They could have saved me years of pain!

LOVE these compression sleeves!!!!
I'm so glad a friend recommended these! I recently started working out and running. One of the biggest issue I had was my tight calves. They were always so tight and sore. During my runs I would have to stop from time to time to stretch out my calves. After workouts my calves would get so tight especially the next morning. I didn't think this would really help because I figured it was just from my tight muscles and not being flexible. I decided to give it a try and purchase one and OMG I LOVE it!!!! I wore it for running and I didn't have to stop not once! I didn't feel any soreness or anything at all in my calves. It fit comfortably and it didn't bother me one bit during my runs. I wear it for all my runs now and I even sleep with them on from time to time if my calves feel sore and the next morning, it'll feel much better. I also wear it to workout from time to time and I noticed I can last longer with them on. In fact, I even got one for my mom since she was always standing on her feet for work and she would complain of her legs hurting. Ever since she started wearing these, she's been feeling fine and feels no pain all day. She says it has helped her tremendously and won't leave the house without it for work. I'm a small frame 5'4' but I have pretty big calves and the xsmall fit perfect! I got several of these so far and so worth the cost! I tried the cheaper ones but it's not the same quality, feel and fit. These are by far my favorite and highly recommend it.

Great fit and compression! But the Blue is not true blue...more like sky/turquoise blue
I actually have these in TWO different sizes -- for different reasons. I am short and petite, with skinny but somewhat muscular calves, and the X/S fits perfectly if I need strong compression I use those if I have painful shin splits, a stress fracture, or other injury. I use the size L/XL when I need more of just a massaging effect, like after a long run or race, and I don't want too much compression. I'd say I wear the L/XL size the most often. I have so many brands of compression sleeves, and some are too tight on me (Zensah Pro), and some don't have enough compression for me (proCompression). Even though I prefer the cep brand for marathons, out of all of them, Zensah provides me with the best levels of comfort, compression and results for recovery. The only thing I did not like about these is at the ankle where they are tighter, there is a small piece of fabric that rolls up and can become uncomfortable. So I just pull them over a higher sock, problem solved (although this forces me to wear higher socks when I have these on). One thing to be aware of, if you are looking for the color blue that is in the photo -- it is not the exact same shade shown. I ordered a pair in blue and was hoping for more of a royal/true blue to match my Boston Marathon apparel , but they are more of a sky/turquoise blue (different than the photos).

They feel great... and hopefully speed up recovery time
To give a little background on me: I've played sports my whole life but turned to running exclusively a year to a year and a half ago. I currently run 30 to 45 miles a week and will be upping my mileage soon for a marathon next year. I'd been hearing a lot of great things about compression sleeves, but held out on getting a pair since they're expensive and I wasn't convinced that they were actually beneficial. My calves always get somewhat tight and sore after hard races and long runs (which I guess is normal), and eventually I decided to get a pair to see if they would help. I figured if worst comes to worst they could keep my lower legs warm on cold days. I've had mine for about a month now, and I think they do work in a sense. If you hurt your arm or leg, you wrap it. Compression is supposed to help.. and I think in that sense these do help. But the reason these get 5 stars is that I LOVE the way they feel. I'm currently in graduate school so after hard runs I tend to be sitting around working, and I just love the feeling of the sleeves on my calves. The compression just feels good. I definitely plan to use these on plane rides in the future. Also, to me these have the perfect amount of compression. You can feel it, but I've never had them get uncomfortable and I've worn them for up to 10 hours. I feel that these were money well spent. Also, I have never worn them on a run and don't really have an interest in doing so. I just wear them after hard runs. I got the neon yellow ones and really like this color. I've found that the small/med is perfect for me.. I'm female, 5'6, about 125 lbs and have a calf circumference of about 13.5in at the widest part.

Choose Zensah, you'll never go wrong!
We've been using Zensah leg compression during our races and it never fails to provide support and recovery. This new iteration are thinner but the same quality from Zensah and now comes with fun designs ๐. Our old Zensahs still fits well and does not lose its compression and support, no damage as well, but will fade esp for bright colored ones. Just go for made in US Zensah and you'll never go wrong. Highly recommended! ๐๐

Compression sleeves
These are so much better than the socks. The socks hurt my feet and toes. I have not had any pain in my legs when I have them on. They are great!

The best brand of compression sleeves
Comfortable, effective, don't rub, and wash up well. By far the best calf sleeves I've bought - worth every penny and have seen me through some gruelling ultras. Really recommend!

but enough to take the edge off my enjoyment. I found immediate benefit from the leg sleeves ...
Exceeded all my expectations. Since taking up running again 18 months ago after a break of many years, I suffered from continual calf aches - not enough to prevent me from running, but enough to take the edge off my enjoyment. I found immediate benefit from the leg sleeves with aches whilst running being reduced by about 90% from first wearing and aches when walking almost entirely gone. Now after three weeks wearing I feel much more confident in my running and my training times have improved as a result. A brilliant product!
