Most underrated option for oily skin
It really is the most underrated option. I’ve looked around a lot for similar priced, and even more expensive options for oily/combo full coverage foundation, but this random one I picked off the shelf 10 years ago has always been number one. It is full coverage, so it’s looks like you’re wearing makeup. it does not get sticky or tacky, and remains on the face pretty much all day. I comfortably wear it for 8-10 hours without feeling oily or gross. It builds well with other products, both Revlon and not. There’s transfer on other things, like if you hug someone, do not rest your face anywhere on them. But you can also safely cry with no product trails down your face! It survives pretty well when touched or when coming to contact with other things without any noticeable bare patches, but it does still transfer very easily, so this can build over time and cause bare patches. I haven’t noticed any permanent stains on anything, but I’m also careful with light coloured fabrics. If you’ve got oily or combination skin and you’re on the market, I’d say definitely give this a try.

Amazing foundation! My mom absolutely loves it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I bought this foundation as a gift for my mom, and the results have been incredible! We were looking for something that would truly work for her skin type, and this foundation controls shine perfectly without drying out her skin, leaving a very natural matte finish. What she loves most is how lightweight it feels on the skin while still offering buildable coverage to hide any imperfections without looking cakey or heavy. Plus, the staying power is amazing—it stays completely intact all day long through heat and sweat without needing any touch-ups. Having SPF 15 and Vitamin E is a huge bonus for everyday wear. This is definitely a high-quality product that easily competes with high-end, luxury brands at a fraction of the price. My mom was thrilled with it, and I highly recommend it!

Excellent budget matte foundation for oily/combination skin
I’ve been using the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation in 110 Ivory for the past few weeks and I’m genuinely impressed. For the price (especially when it’s on sale), this is one of the best drugstore foundations I’ve tried. What I love:Matte finish that actually lasts — It lives up to the 24HR claim for me. By the end of a 10+ hour day, my skin still looks smooth and shine-free in the T-zone, which is huge for combination/oily skin. Medium-to-full coverage — It covers redness and minor imperfections really well without feeling cakey. A little goes a long way; I only need 1–1.5 pumps for full face. SPF 15 — Nice bonus for daily wear, though I still layer sunscreen underneath. Shade match — 110 Ivory is a great pale/neutral match for me. It blends seamlessly and doesn’t oxidize much. Vitamin E & antioxidant formula — My skin feels comfortable even after long wear. Minor notes:It can emphasize dry patches if your skin is dehydrated, so good moisturizing/skincare prep is key. The pump is convenient but sometimes dispenses a bit more than needed. Scent is very faint and dissipates quickly (not heavily fragranced like some older formulas). This has become my everyday go-to when I want a reliable, long-wearing matte look without spending $40+. The fact that it has tens of thousands of reviews and still holds a solid 4.5 stars says a lot. Highly recommend if you have oily or combination skin and prefer a true matte finish.Would buy again — already planning to repurchase when I run out! Perfect for work, everyday wear, or even light events.

One of my favorites
My go to foundation . Good price . Good amount in the bottle . Great coverage . It’s a medium coverage and you can build up. It doesn’t have any stinky strong smell like others do . It’s good texture and I highly recommend as a budget foundation that’s good quality

Better than KVD lock it and MAC prolong wear
First, about me: light to medium skin tone, neutral undertones, 30 years old, female, combination/oily (mostly oily in T-Zone), acne prone (mostly hormonal), and I experience redness by my nose and cheeks. What I was looking for in foundation: medium/buildable coverage, controls oiliness, long lasting, doesn’t transfer, doesn’t budge, doesn’t settle into my pores or lines. What I have tried: - MAC prolong wear nourishing waterproof foundation in color NC27 — this color was great for the winter/early spring. It matched perfectly and didn’t oxidize. However, it did a terrible job with controlling my oiliness & shine. After a full day, it started to fill my pores and lines on my forehead. I was not even going to test it’s waterproof ability because it was just sitting on my face and would wipe off with just a light touch. Perhaps it just needs a good setting powder or spray (which I have not found yet). - Kat Von D Lock-it foundation — Um, this was a joke. The colors are not great. I tried two (I used online tools to find the right shade) and one was too yellow. The other was actually fine, but I had already tanned quite a bit by the time it was delivered, so it was a bit on the lighter side. I tried this product several ways, with and without primer, with and without setting spray, with and without setting powder... this product just will not “lock” down. It just sat on my face and was so much worse than the MAC. It was so disappointing. I almost feel like KVD means well, and the models on the site are diverse, but her products are just not meant for all skin types. I’ve definitely tried other products, but I wanted to mention those two because they kept popping up on my search for foundation and they are on the higher end of my budget. Finally, I came across this product: Revlon ColorStay for combination/oily skin. I’m not sure what you are looking for, but here is what I love about this product! This goes on so easily, smoothly and lightly, but with medium coverage that I can easily build. It looks so natural! It definitely controls my oily skin. There is a bit of shine after 10 hours, but I don’t look oily. If it bothers me, I just blot a little and it stays matte for even longer. Regardless of whether I use primer, or setting spray/powder, it does the same job! I love it! I got it in the color 310 Warm Golden, which is actually a perfect match. However, in case you didn’t catch on before, I tan very easily, so I just ordered it in Rich Tan. This foundation does not budge and I haven’t had any dramatic transfers like I’ve had with the other two products that cost almost 5x more than this product. I definitely recommend this for everyday use. I have not had any breakouts and I love that it has SPF. It feels natural and I forget I’m wearing makeup. I think this product went on best when applied with a brush with micro bristles (I ordered this flawless foundation brush on Amazon for about $7). One more thing, I have textured skin (pock marks from acne), and at first, I tried to use more product to fill it in, but it didn’t work. However, over time during the day, my skin looked flawless! One thing I did not like, but I’m willing to live with: for some reason it fills my pores a bit on my chin. I don’t know how to fix that other than to touch up or blot, but I have been searching for so long for something that I really like, I’m willing to hang on to this one. (I haven’t broken out from it either). If you’ve read this far, thank you. And good luck finding the right foundation for you. Hope this was helpful.

New Holy Grail after Discontinuation of Original Double Wear
Original Double Wear was my holy grail. After the formula change, I wasn't able to find anything that stayed all day and didn't leave me oily before lunchtime....until I found this. Amazing! If you used to use original Double Wear and loved it, try this.

You look like what you pay for...
I have a very oily T-zone, even when using my Becca mattifying primer. I was using Chanel Lumiere liquid foundation before this (not the one for oily skin, because I bought it in the winter when I was on a medication that gave me dry patches), which I loved, but I ran out and thought I'd give this much cheaper drugstore foundation with rave reviews a try. This foundation does prevent my typical t zone oil slick from developing when I wear it, even without mattifying primer. The coverage is great, especially with a couple of layers--a little of this goes a long way, so I would say that my typical application is thin. Since the bottle has no pump, I dip a clean q-tip into the bottle instead of touching the foundation and bottle with my fingers. I know that a lot of people hate foundations without a pump, but I like the fact that I can get EVERYTHING out. It kills me that I couldn't get to all of the makeup in my $60 bottle of Chanel foundation. That being said, this foundation feels SO thick on my skin. Maybe I'm just spoiled from using such a high quality liquid foundation before this, but I feel like my face is suffocating when I wear it. It feels like I'm covered in petroleum or something. I wore some just under my eyes, under my powdered mineral foundation yesterday, and when I tried to blend my eyeliner after this had dried, I realized how bad the consistency was...it was just sticky and thick. I guess the plus side to that is you definitely don't have to worry about transferring. It looks so unnatural to me. When I wear it my skin tone is even, blemishes and dark circles covered, but at a price!! My skin looks...weird. Older? I don't know. Just off in a bad way. I actually felt self conscious when I went out wearing this. Speaking of unnatural, the chemical smell of this...the chemicals IN this...I couldn't get over it like I thought I could. I used to be a nut about chemicals in my makeup and body care products....apparently some of that stuck, because I worry about my health when I put this on. My skin tone is hard to match because I'm biracial, so I was impressed that their golden beige worked well for me-- but it became too pale after I went to the pool one day. After that, this stuff really wasn't working for me. I've gone back to using Mineral Fusion loose mineral foundation (warm 2...you can buy this brand at Whole Foods or on Amazon!) instead of liquids in general. My skin looks flawless and natural while I still get full coverage and perfect color match. So Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin gets more like 2.5 stars despite my bad feelings for it because of how well it holds back oil, redness coverage, color range, low price....I gave this 3 instead of 2 stars because I was very impressed with the oil control and rarely find anything for oily skin that actually works. I'd rather apply a mattifying primer and pay more for a higher quality foundation than wear this, though.
