I recently tried Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki with Rice during a weekend camping trip, and it was a fantastic choice! After a long day of hiking, I was craving something flavorful and filling, and this meal hit the spot perfectly. Preparation was quick and straightforward. I just added hot water, let it sit for about 10 minutes, and it was ready to enjoy. The chicken was tender, and the teriyaki sauce provided a delightful sweetness that complemented the rice well. The combination of textures and flavors made it feel like a gourmet meal in the great outdoors. Sharing it with friends around the campfire made it even better. We all agreed that this dish felt hearty and satisfying—definitely more enjoyable than the typical trail food. Plus, knowing it’s gluten-free was a bonus, as it catered to different dietary preferences in our group. I’ll be adding this to my go-to list for future camping adventures!

Easy to store, easy to prepare, and great flavors from all the Mountain House meals I have tried. If I was a backpacker I may be a bit concerned it would turn to dust if not properly packed but then, backpackers know how to deal with that issue. Very light and takes up little space for the calories contained, just add hot water stir and before your tent is up the meal is ready. Also good for the long term planners on a budget. Don’t for get about water. 😉

They make a good effort to achieve the Teriyaki taste but something isn't right with it. Maybe it's just my taste buds but I prefer other flavors. Making it is easy provided you have something to measure 1 2/3 cups of water to boil. Or you can just guess and have your soup too thick or too thin.

Add a little soy sauce and it makes for some pretty good eating. I'd buy again.

I've never had dehydrated meals before, but on the recent hiking trip I went for it. Very tasty. I added water per instructions, and it came out a bit watery. Next time I'm going to try less water. This is an easy to make quick dinner that tastes good and is healthy. Stores on the shelf for about 25 years and still tastes good.

Ive been hesitant to try this brand but with the gluten free options available, I went for it. Very tasty. The Mylar bag it comes in can be zip sealed so its very convenient for me to use a portion at a time instead of having to prepare the whole bag (2servings) at once. Gluten free is very important. It tastes great, convenient and easily found in the camping section at many stores. Great for gaming use, home use, emergency use etc
