Kaytee Nut & Fruit Wild Bird Seed, 5 lb

This birdseed has been great for us. I recently got one of those camera bird feeders and wanted something that would attract a variety of birds so we could actually see them up close and this mix really delivers. I’ve honestly gotten a little obsessed with watching them. It’s surprisingly calming. The blend has a nice mix of seeds and little fruit pieces. It doesn’t smell, I haven’t seen any mold, and the bag size is solid. It’s a bit more expensive than some other options, but based on the variety of birds it attracts, I think it’s worth it. I’ve already seen about 60% of the birds listed on the bag show up at my feeder. We get daily visitors now—I call them “the residents” because they come back like clockwork. So far I’ve had a Downy woodpecker, male and female cardinals, lots of chickadees, and tufted titmice. I even spotted a blue jay nearby, but it hasn’t landed on the feeder yet. It only took a few days for birds to start coming, which I was really happy about. I’ve already gone through one bag and reordered. The only downside is that the squirrels and crows like it too but honestly, they haven’t been too bad, and I’m working on a setup to keep them out. Overall, really happy with this seed. If you want to attract a good variety of birds, this is a great option.

After the first 2 days of my new bird feeder, the birds immediately started taking interest in the food! It's a mixture and for the past week and a half, I come home from work to it empty every day! I'm already going to purchase another bag, the birds absolutely love it yay! Just know it also attracts Squirrels, and larger birds! I've had crows and ravens stop by for some as well! Be aware of this it you have any small pets at home that wander your deck! Definitely worth the price though!

Katee makes a very high quality bird seed, & this particular nut & fruit mix is no exception. I have been purchasing this product as well as other Katee products for years and I have been or should I say the birds, (squirrels & the occasional deer), have been completely satisfied. Also, there is never any waste left behind.

My birds squirrels and bunnies love it! Have definitely seen an increase since using this! It does hold moisture after rain but doesn’t affect the quality or hinder the birds. Very easy and package is secure. It filled my bird feeder three times.

Birds love it. Found out my dog has a nut allergy, which has sucked trying to keep her from finding dropped pieces. Probably won’t buy again due to this, but the birds love it besides the raisins.

Perfect for attracting the Michigan birds I love! I get cardinals, several pretty woodpeckers, mourning doves, occasionally a blue bird among other birds.

Very good product, a tad over priced!

This mix has a really nice variety with the added nuts and fruit. You can tell it’s not just basic seed, and it definitely brings in more bird activity. I’ve noticed a wider range of birds stopping by, and they go through it pretty quickly. The different textures seem to keep them interested throughout the day. It also looks fresh and well mixed, not a lot of filler or leftover pieces sitting under the feeder. Overall, it’s been a great option for attracting more variety and keeping things active.
