great horn button.
works perfect it's nice and bright. the only issue that I did not have but many people that are not come to electricity is the actual pins and what which ones are for 12 volt constant and which ones are load. it'd be nice if it came with a nice little pin diagram that's all. but all you have to use is a 9-volt battery and some paper clips and you can find out exactly which pins or what

The correct way to hook this switch up made simple
Ok , for all you guys that wonder which pole is which ... The com is power in ... then you have "no" which means normally open . That means that when the botton is at rest its not engaged, or the circuit is off .. then you have " nc" , this means normally closed .. or that the circuit in engaged . Hooking to this pole means you have to push the botton to stop the connection... these are the three center poles ... then you have two poles on the sides . These are for the lite .. one is pos .. the other is neg .. some here say to connect the no , or nc pole to the pos. Pole .. i disagree.. here is why .. If you connect them like that then when you push the botton only then does the lite come on .. that dont make no sense. You can't see that its on because your finger is pushing the botton . Instead hook the pos lite botton to your headlite switch , the wire that comes from your courtesy lights . this way when you turn on your head lites the botton shines and you can dim it with your dash lites ... good luck , I hope this clears this matter up for you guys ..

Durable, mostly easy to wire in.
19mm push button, horn symbol glows red. Not sure if incandescent or LED but light source is not serviceable anyway. Body appears metal, button plastic, all shiny silver and looks decent. The button action has a noticeable notchy feel that tells you it's engaged, I bought another one that had no tactile feedback and I didn't like it. The wiring diagram isn't included and I asked about it, but then I just looked closer at the switch itself and it became clear. One side has a clearly molded + sign, the opposite has -. Down the middle are three, molded in a different color, with NO, NC and C molded in. You can google them, but basically they are Normally Open, Normally Closed and common. Common, for me, I joined to the + input. Then I used the Normally Open pin. This way there's no signal down the NO wire until you hit the button, then you get +12V to signal the horn or a relay if your horn is very loud. The details indicate a 5A carry load but I don't trust it, plus the wire I used was pretty small. Mine will feed a relay. One star missing for no diagram included, not even a link in the product description.

Good but hard to install
I almost gave up with this switch, trying for two weekends and couldnโt make it work, you have to read the other reviews and look at the diagrams. My problem was that I used a LED cable kit, which is good because it comes with relay and completed harness, but to know how to connect them on the switch was time consuming. If you use LED harness kit, black is ground, white is positive and blue accessory. Other websites and yahoo answers will tell you that black is positive and white is negative, thatโs what made me all confused. But after trying all different ways this is the result: solder the two pins like on the diagrams on the reviews and connect cables how I just said. You will save some time. I dont want you to suffer like I did. Good luck.

No wiring diagram or connectors included - You get what you pay for!
Switch works ok, but only after you figure out the connections and dig around for the right size connectors in your shop (or make a trip to the hardware store). This switch literally comes in a small plastic bag with no instructions, wiring diagram, connectors, nothing. Nada. Also, the tiny tabs on the back require tiny connectors, which most of us don't have. I ended up soldering a couple of spare pieces of small-gauge wire to the tabs in order to connect to my supply wires, then tested them before making final connections to figure out which was what. It would be nice if it at least came with a simple diagram showing which contact was the ground, which was power supply, etc., or maybe even a pigtail attachment. I'd even pay a little extra to just be able to plug-and-play. Sad because it could be a 5-star item if they didn't try to cut corners by leaving out something as simple as an instruction sheet.

Very functional and responsive
I use this on my 81 corvette with red interior. it would look really cool if I could wire power to it. Unfortunately my horn is a negative one and no power comes through the steering wheel- so the button works, but the LED light doesn't have any power. I drilled the proper sized holes through my three spoke steering wheel and just inserted them and wired them appropriately. But man I wish I had power to them. Thinking of using solar panels on the steering column if the aesthetics are pleasing. Also I barely have to tap them to blow the horn, but enough that I don't have to worry about blowing the horn accidentally. Too, there is feedback through the clicking sound made when pressing them so you know when you're closing the circuit.

Typical bs
Absolutely no instructions on how to wire this switch. There is one sketch on the advertisement on Amazon. That does not look anything like the back of the switch that I got. None of the prongs are labeled. Now I have to try to install this using trial and error. If I cannot figure it out or if it burns up I will be returning it for a FULL refund!
