So buying a cork to match pottery or glasswork is something I find to be a PITA. The cork 'sizing' schema is not that precise. Buying online without seeing the product can lead to getting poor quality cork that sheds particulates excessively or come apart. My wife purchased a 'cute' piece of pottery that lacked the cork. I measured the opening and started to look. This set is correctly sized - matches the description. The cork material is fresh and high quality. Shipping was fast, packaging was good.

I collect and use early 1900s camping gear. I recently ran across a vintage Icy Hot vacuum bottle (patented in 1908) that was missing a proper cork. Corks were used before they started making threaded stoppers. Anyway, this bottle had a relatively large 2 1/4" opening, and these worked perfectly. Even the overall length was correct, as the inside top of the cap snugs down on the cork to ensure that it stays in place, I wish all my restorations were so simple! The cork is very solid, of good quality, no strange odors or anything either.

I was hoping they would be just a tad wider to fit a glass carafe I have from IKEA whose plastic lid broke. They are too small for the carafe, but perfect for canning jars, so I can still use them. Happy with my purchase.
