fit is just right

I don't expect much from life. My existence is to get up, drive an hour to work, work 10 hours, drive an hour to get home, sleep, and then do it again. On weekends I do my best to just lay low and enjoy some peace and quiet. I do, however eat and have bodily functions that can, over the course of a year or more, pretty much wreck a pair of underwear. Enter the Fruit of the Loom Men's 3 pack! OMG! the elastic bands combined with the cotton fabric cups the boys in secure comfort while the clean, white back gives the impression to any paramedic that might have to see it that I am a man who someone loves, who someone cares enough about to get a Fruit of the Loom Men's 3 pack of Tighty Whities for Christmas! And I mean that. Like most of you, there was a time when I would have been pissed if I got underwear for Christmas. I wanted a video game or a ball or something fun. Now I don't have fun, even though I can just buy that crap whenever I feel like it. But I will wear a yellowing, 3 sizes-too-small, threadbare, brown-stripe-stained tighty-whitey for 10 years or more because it says to the world, "I don't care about any of you Mother Flowerbedders! And nobody cares about me!" But, behind this manly, gruff exterior is a boy who really wants the last person to see me alive to see me in a new-ish, clean pair of Tighty-Whities and know that, even though whatever I was doing right before I met my end was probably kind of stupid, someone loved me.

I've been buying these for years. They're great. No nonsense, just good plain hardworking underwear. Usually they last a long time too. The only thing with this pack in particular is that I ordered M, and received M, but they almost fit like the old size S. I'm not sure if the design has changed; I know Hanes did something a while back that changed the dimensions of each size. I did compare them to a present day s and this definitely a difference so I think the company just overhauled the sizing conventions. The "new" M fits almost like the "old" S. And the "new" S is definitely a size down from these M. So as long as you're not using your favorite vintage pair for a size reference you should be OK.

I’ve been wearing FTL briefs basically my entire life. These briefs are different than the larger pack I’ve been buying at Target. I’m not sure if all the briefs changed but this specific pack did but not in a bad way. A lot of people reviewed that they are smaller. This is true but you don’t necessarily need to order a larger size. They fit a bit more snug with a lot less extra fabric. The original briefs were a lot baggier with a lot of sagging fabric. These briefs do not sag. The waist size is exactly the same as the old ones. Also, I read that some said they are a thinner and cheaper brief. They are a bit thinner but I don’t think it’s because it’s cheaper, I think it’s because it’s just lighter and cooler. Over all, they fit better and they are the same level of comfort. If you want a looser brief than you might want to order one size up but if your fine with a bit more form fitting material, your normal size is fine. I’m 5ft 9, 170# and a medium is perfect for me.

Soft. Good Quality. Elastic holds up. No shrinkage. The material is just the right thickness.
