Why is this 149 dollrs more on amazon Ve 300 thermostat goes for 144 dollars on reptile online stores?

Because the stores don’t have them in stock. Simple supply and demand, unfortunately. You can try to go to those other sites and get on a email list, but you better be fast. I spent 2 months trying to buy one before I actually got my hands on one. Same goes for the radiant heaters. Happy hunting.

Expensive but very worth the cost.

Absolutely love the ease of use and setup with this item. Its a solid state controller so no annoying clicking sounds at various times of operation. Using it to control temps on 2 ball python enclosures and it works amazing keeping temps spot on to where there set to
