Can this ignite a gas stove? I checked that my gas stove can be ignited by a flame but I broke the built-in igniter.

I haven't attempted that, but it isn't anything flamable (so I would not think prohibited). However, that is an assumption...I don't know for certain.

Could you use this on charcoal lighter fluid? Want an American option for that.

It certainly isn’t designed to ignite charcoal lighter fluid, only flammable gases. As a practical matter, I don’t believe that you could reasonably accomplish lighting charcoal lighter fluid. You’d have to douse the charcoal with so much lighter fluid to have a sufficient amount of vapors to be able to ignite them with this lighter that all you’d taste in the food is lighter fluid. I guess the short answer is no, this wouldn’t work for that purpose.

Good for lighting a butane torch (my only use)

Works much better than the flimsier ones available at Lowes and Home Depot. I use it light a butane torch for burning weeds and it lights every time.

Much better than most sets I have ordered

I ordered another off-brand and they were cheap garbage. These are solid like the ones similar from the 80's and 90's. The whole product screams quality. The strikers are installed properly and hit the flint properly. The striker handles are thicker than the others I bought. Makes a lot of sparks like it should.

Best torch starter I have found

I love these strikers! They are the best for starting a propane torch or a reluctant BBQ grill. This came in a two pack, as well as including a pack of extra flints. I am sure that they will last me for years. The handles have a good spring feel to them and they produce plenty of sparks with each twang. I mainly use mine to start up the flame on my weed burner. Now I am able to keep a striker with it, instead of having to dig around in the garage.
