Schrade Delta Class Decimate Kukri Machete with Stainless Steel Blade for Outdoor Survival

This machete was heavier than I thought it would be but that is not a bad thing. The first one I ordered fell into the hands of a completely incapable mailman who didn't know how to deliver USPS sure post properly, so he would just put delivery notices in my mailbox saying I missed the delivery without even trying to deliver the package *sigh*. Luckily amazon was awesome about helping me and they sent a another order to me free of charge and finally I got my machete, I don't know what happened to the other one but its possible the mailman got a new machete that day. now back to the machete, its good, its also hard to sharpen unless you have a good sharpener. It came kinda sharp but no where near how sharp I want it. The sharpener it came with doesnt make sense for that machete considering that sharpener is flat and the machete is almost a kukuri design, on the other hand the ferro rod it comes with is awesome and it is a full ferro rod, not the kind that has a little rod in a big hunk of metal making it look like its a full ferroceruim rod. So basically this is a good deal, a sharpener thats good for other knife sharpening (not this machete) , a full ferrocerium rod that will last thousands of strikes, and a stainless steal hard as nails machete for a low price. BUY it I do recommend this thing!

Skallagrim reviewed this, and I recommend looking up what he has to say on YouTube because he's 100% dead on. this is a tough, well -built, capable machete that cuts better then most light tomahawks. It's part of my BOG now The metal holds an edge very well, but it's not too hard. this means that it won't chip or crack on you, and any damage you would take from abusing the blade (rolls, bends) are quickly and easily fixed. This is ESSENTIAL for any working blade. A bent blade can be fixed and reused. A broken blade is useless. the spine is thick, so you can baton with this thing very well. The Kukri blade shape is an incredible chopper, and an excellent sword design to model a machete after. Effective. It does what it's supposed to do. Plus, the bonuses you get (fire starter, diamond sharpener, and AWESOME sheath with many attachment options) make it a huge value. At $75, it wouldn't be overpriced. Great value.

Bought this a few weeks ago to clear some thick underbrush (Briars) and shooting lanes for the property that I hunt. The Machete was packaged very well and came razor sharp (see finger from previous user post). Sheath is functional and comes with a shoulder strap and belt loop. Fire starter and sharpening stone also included. Tether / wrist strap no included, I tied on a parachute cord tether right away as you don't want this blade getting away from you. I cleared a few cutting lanes and path to my stand no problems. Blade was still pristine afterward. Dropped a doe in the middle of 6 foot high briars and the blade made quick work of clearing a path to her. Yesterday did some more clearing of briars, underbrush small saplings, branches and the like. Blade is thick for hacking those larger branches and limbs with no issues. Blade is still razor sharp for cutting through the smaller stuff with one hack. Much easier work than a pair of loppers. Highly recommended would have been 5 stars if it came with a decent tether strap. A bit heavy to swing all afternoon but it does what its supposed to do and still maintain a nice edge.

Read lots of reviews & watched half a dozen YT videos before buying this blade. I have a few other Schrade blades, but am always skeptical of reviews by other people (my nature I suppose). I received my shipment 2 days after ordering from Amazon and immediately took it out in the woods for some testing. Mine came sharp out of the box (though this may not be the case with all), but will still get a diamond stone finish. I tried 1" dry pine branches first which took 1 hit to remove from the parent tree. 2"-3" dead & seasoned branches were next...4-5 hits this time. Time for a 6 incher (timed)...less than 45 seconds to cut in half. So it cuts through your standard larger stuff, but what about the finer camp chores...no problem. The spine will shave bark, feather sticks are no problem (with the 2-3 inches closest to the handle), boring holes is easy even with the thickish tip etc, etc. The sharpening stone, while not ideal for this blade's shape, will suffice in a pinch. The ferro rod is actually of fairly good quality and works well in conjunction with the "lightening holes"/Spetzel making holes in the blade itself. I have yet to baton wood with this, but when I do I'll update this post. The only real negatives are in regards to the sheath & not the blade thus far. The sheath, while reasonably constructed, lacks a belt loop or similar attaching device for waist carry. It does include a shoulder strap & 2 leg straps though that would be a rather odd & cumbersome way to carry. All straps will likely get repurposed and the sheath attached via 550 & MOLLE to a ruck. I'm ordering another as soon as I'm done writing this (2 is one & 1 is none) due to the high quality & low cost.

A fun heavy blade with a good sheath. I've chopped a lot of wood and de-limbed lots and lots of branches with this blade with no problems. The factory edge was quite good, and the blade geometry did a great job on all of my cutting tasks. In side by side chopping, I believe that this blade performed a little better than my SCHBOLO in terms of cutting/chopping efficiency, but not by much. I also played around sticking the tip into wood and then removing it in a side to side fashion (not supposed to do this), instead of a front to back rocking motion; no damage to the tip. I've also thown this blade into tree stumps, with no blade issues. At first, I was a little leery of the 3CR steel (read reviews of people snapping their blades), but I was convinced to buy this blade when I saw Youtube videos of people using these kukris as throwing blades. I've used chopping blades for over 40 years, and have always viewed stainless steel chopping blades with suspicion, but this kukri has held up well to my abuse. The 3CR SCHBOLO and Parang have also proved to be good reliable choppers. I also bought the thinner Schrade Ghurka kukri, but I haven't had a chance to really beat it up yet, although it did bite me twice when I was playing around with it on the couch; came with a very sharp factory edge.

This is a fantastic blade. I can't claim to be a knife collector or to have any formal training, but I AM a rancher and explorer. I couldn't possibly tell you about any particular stats or the makeup of the blade or anything like that. I WILL tell you that, as someone who has used axes, folding blades, machetes, sledgehammers, and pretty much everything else for my entire life, this knife will hold up. There are lots of flashy, cool-looking knives that won't do squat when tested. It's always such a disappointment to see that. This knife is very different from that. It fits well in my hand and the blade comes EXTREMELY sharp. I almost cut myself just touching it lightly. It's incredible. I have no doubt that this blade will hold up in any scenario I could possibly put it in, so it's become my primary blade. Like I say, I can't tell you much about the makeup of it. As someone who puts my tools through hell on ranchwork, clearing, and everything else, I can heartily recommend this. Also, the sheath is very handy. It, like the knife, is made with a professional feel. I hate sheaths, and I'm keeping this one (rare, for me).

This is the best machete in the $50 price range, hands down. I collect a lot of knives and I use them. This blade will hold up to everything you would ever need it for practically. It is great for outdoor work and camp chores and is designed to work very nicely as a combat weapon. Specs The blade is full tang and constructed of 3cr13 steel. A good choice because it still had a good hardness but is soft enough to withstand constant high impact use. The blade is 13.3 in long and 1/8 in thick. Most machetes are 1/10 at best. The nice thick spine ensures durability. The blade design is a time tested and proven classic that dominates when it comes to efficiency. It's bigger belly and curved shape allow for maximum chopping power and quickens the time it takes for a swing to make contact. It has a nice tough powder coating on it. Not the smooth thin powder coating that looks like a layer of paint, this is thick, rough, and durable powder coating. (In all the abuse my schkm1 has been through the powder coating has not worn at all.) The handle is the Schrade safe-t grip and it is amazing. It is super ergonomic and is very small designed to comfortably fit almost any size hand. It is long enough to choke up on for slicing or slide your hand to the lower part of the handle which changes in shape to accommodate a tighter grip for heavy chopping. The curvature of the handle added to the handle shape result in the slight difference in hand position to equal a significant change in blade weight distribution and chopping power. The sheath is extremely well built nylon. It is double stitched at all the seams and riveted in strategic locations for added strength. It comes with a pouch attached to the sheath that contains a ferro rod and a diamond stone sharpener. It comes with a shoulder strap, thigh straps, and two loops secured to the sheath for strapping to a bag, vest or belt. All in all this is an amazing blade. Well constructed is an understatement, Schrade really blew me away with this one. And to get this quality and the accessories for this price is insane. I honestly expected to be dissapointed in this blade and I tried to find a flaw, I failed. It feels better in the hand than any of my other machetes and that includes condor, cold steel, kabar, and others. And I couldn't believe how easy it chops through trees and wood. I do a lot of chopping wood with machetes and I've never had one that could cut through some of the things this one has. I read review after review and watched even more videos before getting any blade and I'm always a skeptic. Even when I see great reviews I'm skeptical of that persons opinion. Are they being honest? Do they know what they're talking about? Well, if you're like me then please take it from someone who understands, this is the blade you want, and it is worth every penny. You will not be disappointed. I would easily pay $70 for this.

When I ordered this machete, I knew it would have certain level of quality. Meaning that "for the money" Schrade has a fair reputation for delivering a decent blade. I have owned several through the years. I must say, I was shocked at how well this machete is made. It has roughly a 3/16 blade thickness. Has a durable, comfortable grip. The sheath isn't that great, but it does have a shoulder strap. That was a feature I needed. Three years ago I bought a Condor brand kukri for about $60. The sheath was leather, but the machete itself was not as well made (in my opinion) as this one from Schrade. It's basically a large knife. It will chop small trees with little effort. If you break this blade, then you're chopping wrong. I stand by that statement. My Dad showed me years ago how to use angle and momentum to chop. This will allow you to chop and clear for hours without gasing out or hurting yourself. It's also how the old timers were able to make cheap axes and machete's last. I paid under $40 for this one here on Amazon. You just can't beat the value. I use the machete for camping, exploring, etc. For $40, if I can get a year or so use out of it, I will be happy.

espesemos por el tamaño: es más chico de lo que me imaginaba de hecho es mas chico que el Schrade SCHMBSCP Priscilla pero es mas ancho de pala, viene con buen filo de fabrica me encanto que este si viniera en su caja ya que como yo los colecciono me gusta guardarlos en sus cajas después de usarlos y darles su mantenimiento, la empuñadura tiene buen agarre no es la mejor pero cumple con su función, se les agradece que como casi todos los cuchillos de schrade vengan con sus piedra de afilar y su ferrocerio (pedernal), estos vienen en una bolsa como se ve en la foto, bolsa que puedes dejar en la fundo o quitarla según sea tu gusto lo que me lleva a la funda ps como era de esperarse la funda es un total fracaso se batalla para meter y sacar el "machete" el material de la funda no es de la mejor calidad y la verdad es obsesionante ya que en este tipo de marcas de cuchillos pienso que la funda no debería de ser tomada tan a la ligera creo que schrade sinceramente tiene que cambiar en definitiva el tipo y el diseño de fundas que hasta el momento a venido usando conclusión buen cuchillo pero un tanto pequeño para lo que uno espera y funda pésima de mala calidad y nada utilitaria espero les sirva de algo mi reseña y si tienen alguna pregunta con gusto les responderé que tengan un excelente y bendecido día todos

Diese Machete erfüllt alle Erwartungen die man so hat wenn man sich eine mittelgroße Klinge anschaffen möchte. Die Schrade Kukri Machete ist direkt nach dem auspacken scharf genug um Telefonbuchpapier einfach zu zerschneiden, dass ist schonmal ein gewaltiger Pluspunkt im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Macheten in dieser Preisklasse. Es ist sehr einfach sich damit seinen Weg durchs Gebüsch und Unterholz zu bahnen, dies ist vor allem dank der "recurved" Form der Klinge so leicht möglich, die Klinge schneidet wie von selbst (solange mann sie hin und wieder schärft). Durch den dicken Klingenrücken ist es auch ohne weiteres möglich größere, dickere Holzstücke zu spalten indem man mit einem Schlagwerkzeug (zum Beispiel einem Holzscheit) auf den Klingenrücken schlägt und die Klinge durch das Holz treibt. Die Scheide besteht aus schnittfestem Nylon mit einem Plastik Inlay zum Schutz der vorderen Hälfte der Klinge. Desweiteren ist eine abnehmbare Tasche an der Scheide befestigt in der sich ein Diamant Schleifstein und ein Feuerstahl befinden, welche beide einwandfrei funktionieren. Alles in allem eine Machete ohne Schwächen und mit vielen Vorteilen, ich kann dieses Werkzeug uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Great quality product for price. Slightly smaller then expected but still beefy and front heavy for great chopping ability, weight distribution make it great for chopping. Very light for all day carry in woods or for chores. Prefer high carbon steel for ease of sharpening and good edge retention that I feel is a better compromise then harder stainlessness for extended use. The 3CR13 is easy to sharpen, maintains an edge much better then I thought it would, haven't bent or rolled and dosent chip easily plus rust resistant. As long as you arnt planning on unnaturally stress testing it for no purpose it should stand the test of time and use with proper care. Satisfied with product and service.

Die Ware ist Topp. Habe auch 5 Sterne vergeben. Leider ist der Griff für meine großen Batsche-Händchen etwas zu klein. Kann man aber mit leben.

Me gusto su diseño que se parece a la pelicula de Book of Eli, es un poco mas corto de lo que esperaba y tardó mucho en llegar, fuera de eso muy bien.
