Flipster on '16 JK Rubicon
Great mount for those of us that have to run a front plate on our vehicles. Installed mine on a '16 Rubicon that has a Warn 10S winch and Hawse fairlead. The quality, fit, and finish of the mount and the hardware is excellent.I have had the Flipster now for over a week now and have have driven the Jeep offroad numerous times. Mount is rock solid and I love how I can flip up my plate for easy access to my winch line. I would recommend to anyone needing a solid plate mount. Friendly heads up: Due to the thickness of the Flipster mounting plate and hawse fairlead, your fairlead bolts may be a bit too short to get a good attachment once installed. Not a fault of the product, but a function of the stock winch setup. Optimally a person should install this upgrade when they are putting in the winch so they can put in new, longer fairlead bolts. In my case I installed the Flipster after my winch was in place. First off it took some effort to undo the existing fairlead bolts as you had to get a wrench in behind the bumper/fairlead to hold the bolt head while undoing the nut on the outside of the fairlead. Secondly, to ensure I was comfortable with the nut to bolt attachment once the Fliptster and fairlead were reattached, I had to grind down my Warn fairlead bolt holes (easy to do with a Dremel and metal grinding bit). Initially without grinding, there were two to three threads of the bolt showing with the stock fairlead and Flipster mount plate. After grinding the hawse fairlead bolt holes, I had 4-5 threads showing. I probably could have lived with the stock bolt length, but with Murphy's law and how I use my Jeep (primarily offroad), I didn't want to be picking up or losing the mount, fairlead, and front plate. Your experience may differ depending on your winch and fairlead.

Great quality solution for a front license plate for modified vehicle front bumpers
As soon as I opened the package I knew this was a well made product. It fits behind my winch fair lead perfectly with no issues for clearance between it and the winch hook. The parts are made with quality, down from the hardware to the actual plate holder assembly. I also like the fact that the product name isn't a must have on their product, stamped all over the place. Instead they offer a few decals and the license plate frame is an option, most people have their own or don't use one. The movable bracket is a nice solid piece of construction, in other words it isn't going to be flipping around or constantly having to be adjusted. Overall, if you are residing in a state like Maryland and there are a bunch of nuances to register your off-road vehicle , this will alleviate some of the headaches easily enough. Get it.

Great Product!
This product is great! It was easy to install and works as described. Just flip up your license plate and you have quick access to the winch hook. Flip down when finished Using your winch and it conceals the winch hook and fair lead. A must have if you live in a state that requires a front license plate and you want to keep the plate at the center of your bumper and also have easy access to your winch. Bravo, for a well made product!

Best bang for the buck!
Installing this was a little bit of a challenge based on how my wench was on my front bumper on my JK Wrangler. However, once the necessary bolts were reachable and loosened the installation was a breeze. The functionality, design, and sturdiness was worth every dime of this purchase. My State requires front display of a license plate and I am really happy to have this product. THIS BEATS HAVING TO PLACE YOUR FRONT PLATE IN THE WINDSHIELD.

Great License Plate Bracket For Winch Equipped Vehicles
The quality of materials, fit and finish are excellent. It was exactly what I needed on my 2018 Jeep JLU Rubicon (factory steel bumper, Warn 8000lb winch, Factor 55 Flatlink) to keep the state happy by having a front plate. With the included spacer, the plate sits perfectly vertical against the Flatlink. The only issue with the shipment was that I was shorted one of the serrated nuts. I decided to replace all 8 nuts with stainless Nyloc nuts for a more secure attachment and less worry about anything coming loose or falling off. The front plate flips up completely out of the way for winching. Time will tell if having a license plate blocking the fairlead opening will prevent driven debris from caking up the synthetic winch line on the spool. Despite the hardware shortage, I couldn't be happier with the product.

Excellent Product
I have purchased 4 plate holders, 1 for my Jeep and now 3 for my FJ Cruiser. Getting a plate holder for the bumper on my FJ has been a challenge. The plate holder that came with the front bumper broke the first day on the trail. It was made out of heavy steel, but the license backing plate was also heavy steel, and the tabs it secured to failed. The second one had an opening smaller than the Hawse fairlead so the rope was going to rub. I hesitated to spend what the Flipster cost, but I would have saved money if I'd bought it first. The Flipster mount fit perfectly, and was easy to install as it has slots and a rope passthrough feature. It has plenty of relief around the opening and it flips up out of the way perfectly. An added plus? It is not made in China.

Canadian gold standard
Great & well-made. Fit our 2017 JKU no problem and mounted in front of our bulldog winch that’s on the XRC smittybilt bumper. Didn’t need the extension piece but it’s a nice item to be included. Looks great, functions perfectly and keeps our plate in a legal & clear, visible position. Really appreciated the attention to detail in product, packaging (recyclable materials) & free sticker. Thanks for a great Canadian product we will proudly display & use for life.

Excellent product
Just installed this on my Wrangler, wasn’t sure that a license mount could be worth $100 but I promise you this one is. Very well made and fits perfectly on my bumper winch mount. I don’t actually have a winch yet, just the aftermarket winch bumper and couldn’t figure out a solution as to where to mount this plate. This was it and was easy to install and looks great!

Amazing license plate holder
For those of us that need a front license plate, this is amazing. The quality is great and looks good. I like how it blocks most of the crud on the road here in the great white north from going in the opening of the fairlead and into the winch rope. One of the pics shows the space between the plate and fairlead, without the extension piece, when trying it out. The hinge is fairly stiff so the license plate won't move around unless you move it and it holds up very well.
